Season Two. Episode One. Audition

THE FIRST WEEK BACK AT MCKINLEY AND RUBY CARTER HAD NEVER BEEN HAPPIER TO BE BACK AT SCHOOL. Not that Ruby really had a problem with school, she loved it in fact but it meant the glee club were back together and she had already fast tracked her way onto the Cheerios. After Coach Sylvester caught her sweet moves at Regionals, she had asked the girl before the end of summer term to try out. Which is why Ruby Carter was already strutting the corridors of McKinley in her red polyester uniform on her first day back, ready to take on her sophomore year.

What she wasn't happy about was seeing the glee club being picked off one by one by Jacob Ben Israel. After watching him stare at Santana's new boobs earlier, she was determined to avoid him making comment on her new uniform for as long as possible. Unfortunately Ruby wasn't that lucky.

Standing at her locker with Puck, the two were in deep discussion about what drama could possibly unfold within the choir room this year. The reputation they had after last year, there was possibly no way they could have the easy life Ruby once dreamed of. 

The brunette closed her mouth when the irritable shrill that was Jacob Ben Israel entered her personal space, holding a microphone to his face. "Wow! Someone's had an upgrade! I'm very much digging the new uniform Carter! Hubba hubba!"  He wiggled his eyebrows at her.

"Ew! My eyes are up here Jew fro!"  Sending Puck a look to say 'do something'. Puck hit Jacob straight in the chest and pulled the boy straight out of ogling her ass in fear before yanking the camera up towards their faces.

"What do you have to say about Rachel Berry stealing Finn Hudson from you over the summer?"  He said shoving the microphone in her face.

Lowering the microphone, Ruby rolled her eyes and answering him in hopes he'd leave her alone if she did. "Rachel didn't steal anybody from me, Finn is my best friend. He's not my boyfriend. Did I see him less than I would have liked this summer? Yes. But I spent time with both Rachel and Finn so back off with your idiotic comments."

"Well would you care to comment on the latest glee scandal that you hooked up with Mike Chang AND public enemy number one Jesse St James in the dance studio last year? And that Puckerman is next on your list?" He said complete with an obscene gesture with his microphone before shoving said microphone back in her face as he stared at Ruby almost giddily, as he awaited an answer.

Catching Puck tense up at mention of Jesse out the corner of her eye, Ruby shoved Jacob's arm out of her face. "First of all get out of my face Israel before I shove that microphone somewhere you don't want it to go! Also no one is talking about this so called scandal, so cut it out with the garbage!"

"Ohhh but they are! I heard two juniors talking about it by the science rooms. Said they overheard Mercedes Jones talking about it earlier. Have anything to say now?"

Whipping her head in Puck's direction with anger filled eyes, she needed to get out of here fast before she beat Jacob Ben Israel outside the geography classroom and to find Mercedes to find out what the hell was going on. Dancing around Jacob and his camera man to get out, Ruby ended up shoving him into said cameraman before storming off. "MOVE Israel!"

"Puckerman!"  Ruby shouted as she marched off, Puck quickly scrambling after her.
