Chapter 35- Returned

Jack flew away as fast as he could and flew directly to the moon. But before he knew it, the nightmare horses flew behind him. Jack struggled to fight the horses, he tried freezing them but no only were they becoming stronger, but also multiplying.

As the horse started to surround him, his vision became bright, and a white light flashed his vision.

As Jack opened his eyes, he no longer was flying, not even in the sky. He was...
"Am I in the moon?" He mumbled to himself. He was surrounded by a rocky surface and a starry sky, the stars were so big, bright, and fast, there were shooting stars everywhere!
But...where was Avery?

"Avery?" He called out. "Avery?!"
Just as he started to feel defeated, he started to head faint sniffling.

Avery?
He followed the sniffling sound until it grew louder and louder...
There she was, hugging her knees, in a dark shadow.
Jack approached her, hesitantly, he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Avery? It's me...Jack."
Avery lifted her face from her knees, her skin a light grey, with lines of cold that went down to her cheeks, her eyes pitch black besides her pupils, which were also gold. Her long once brown hair was now black as the night.

"Jack..." She replied with a brittle tone, tears welling up in her eyes. "I missed you, " He embraced her. "I missed you so much."
Avery pushed him away, "I'm a monster."
"No you're not, " He cupped her face. "You're a beautiful, smart, independent, and caring girl, who I love with all my heart."

Her eyes sparkled at his chosen words, moving her hair away from her face. "You're deep in Pitchs shadow, and it's time for you to come out."

"But- I'm scared, and I'm weak, I've let you down...I've let everyone down." A tear dripped down the gold line on her cheek.
"You haven't let me down." Jack smiled, "Really?"
"You never have." He placed his forehead against yours.

Avery started transforming back into her old self, as the two closed their eyes, the white light returned, flashing their vision.

Jack opened his eyes, he was in the middle of the street, without Avery.
"Avery?!" He panicked, looking around. "I told you, Jack, she is gone."
Jack breathed heavily as he furrowed his brows, his heart in a painful ache.

Pitch blasted black sand towards him as Jack blasted ice. Pitch was too powerful, Jack was starting to slip...

"Stay away from Jack Frost!" A voice said. Jack glanced at who it was,
"Jason?"

Not only was it Jason, but every other kid In the neighborhood! "Stay away, boogeyman!"
"Oh? Do you really want to threaten me with a good time?" Pitch stopped fighting Jack, now using his powers to bring the childrens biggest fears to life.

Spiders crawled across the floor, clowns running around the streets, and thunder strucking from the sky! The children started becoming afraid, showing their weak side to Pitch.

"Children, don't show Pitch your weak side, you have to be strong!" Tooth said.
The children gasped, "Tooth fairy? And, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and Sandman?!" One of the children said. The guardians nodded, standing with pride. "All of us combined are stronger than you, Pitch!" North said.

Pitch laughed wickeldy, "Look at you! So full of yourself, you can't underestimate my power!"

North took out his swords, protecting all the guardians and children. "Try me."

Pitch started battling North, as Emily was watching it all.
"Jack?!" She ran down the street, trying to find Jack.
"Emily!" He ran to her. "I-I don't know what happened...I had her one moment and now...-"

"Shes coming Jack, so is the man in the moon, but you must help North, my power is not strong enough to defeat my father."

"I won't let you down, Emily." Jack smirked as he flew to North, helping defeat Pitch.

"Hes to powerful!" Bunny yelled. "Yes. That's why we all have to help." Tooth said.

Sandy, Tooth, and Bunny joined Jack and North.

Tooths fairies started attacking the horses, Sandy used his dream sand do evaporate the fears that crawled all around, and Bunny used his boomerangs to hit Pitch.

Soon, more nightmare horses started to attack, "I got the nightmare horses!" Jack yelled to the guardians as he flew up to the sky, the nightmare horses following him as he fought them.

Meanwhile, Emily was looking out for Avery and the man in the moon. "Please..." Emily begged, closing her eyes and holding her hands close to her chest. "You both are our only hope."

"And that is why we are here, " A angelic voice spoke.
"Manny!" Emily gasped. Man in the moon landed on the ground, along with Avery.

Avery spread her large wings, a angered expression on her face. "Where is Pitch?"
