I looked around the darkroom and gave a whimpered sighed, barely being able to look at Jack.
I can't even imagine how he feels.

"No..." Is all I could say. Looking at him as he pressed his lips together, looking at me straight through my eyes. "I'm sorry, Avery...I wish I was joking"

I held back tears as I shook, my voice trembling, "W-We have to...tell the guardians."
I ran around the room feeling too anxious for comfort. I heard a familiar sound, turning around I saw portals where each guardian came out of. They looked exhausted.

A moment of silence as all the guardians looked at us with a sad expression. "They no longer believe..." North says with a raspy voice, looking away. I feel my heartbreak, I could tell how sad they are.
Jack places his hand on my shoulder, making me calm down.

"What now?" Jack asks. "We will figure out a plan later..but for now, we all have to work, even to get the slightest hope that even one child will believe"
"But...you guys seem exhausted- give yourselves a break."

"We really can't, mate," Bunny said. "The fate of the children depend on us."

I look down. "We will be back by sunrise," Tooth says.

"Wait!" I run to them. "I'll come with you let's all work together" I smile proudly. The guardians look at each other. "So you guys don't get too tired" North smiles and nods. "Deal. Everyone aboard my sleigh! Let's start with Tooth's Palace."

I feel a bit of hope in my heart as I climb into Norths sleight.
Keep in mind, I was quite excited since it was my first time in his sleigh. "Hold on tight" Jack whispers and I chuckle and do as I'm told. "Everyone ready?" North asks. "I feel sick already..." Bunny covers his mouth. Sandy and Tooth nod with a bit of hope in them. "Alright! Let's go!" North says, ignoring Bunny's sickness.

The sleigh flies quite fast as I laugh, this is amazing!
I feel a sliver of hope come into my heart, I know this will all turn out good in the end....

A couple of minutes passed full of laugher, me and Jack playing around in the sleigh, before noticing his expression going from a fun, happy, expression, to a shocked, speechless, expression.
I then hear a couple of gasps, I'm confused until I see we arrived at what I'm guessing is Tooth's Palace.

Why is it all black?

I tug on Jack's hoodie. "What's going on?"
"Pitch took over Tooth's Palace..."

I feel all my hope flush away as my heart sink. Jack stands up and grips his staff as he angrily stares at the stirring dust surrounding Tooth's palace.
I look at Tooth who jumped from the sleigh and is flying to her palace. "Tooth!" I fly out to catch up to her.

I can't keep up too easily. She's too fast. I finally catch up and I'm breathing pretty heavily.
"Tooth..." I mumbled out as I watch her run around the Palace.

"M-My fairies- where did they go?!"
The rest of the guardians catch up as Jack approaches her. "Hey hey, take a deep breathe-" "I CANT Jack!! I-I can't..."

She slowly goes into a panic attack, breathing heavily and losing self-control. The guardians rush to her, desperately trying to help.

But I felt frozen, as If I was stuck.

I see Jack standing there watching all this happen, he seems heartbroken, I know he's trying his best, but I can tell it's hard to treat someone when they are in this condition. I snap out of my gaze and fly away trying desperately to find her fairies, maybe they flew off somewhere?

I've barely seen what they have looked like, so it'll be hard to notice them.

I'm flying to the top of the palace as I start hearing some tweets and chirping close to me.

I assumed it was a bird and continued to look until the sound became to sound for eager and loud, I followed the sound and saw four little fairy-like birds, hiding in a small nest.

"Are you Tooth's fairies?" I ask. Stupid, they are probably birds, and birds can't-

"Chirp chirp!!" They squeak. I gasp and quickly scoop them and fly back to Tooth.

She's now sobbing, a mess, she can barely breathe.
I rush to her, "Tooth!"
"Not now A-" I interrupt North, "I found some of your fairies."

She gasps and scoops them from my arms, breathing heavily the fairies dry her tears away as she hugs them. "T-Thank you!" She smiles at me. I return it. She cradles them like babies as she calms herself down.

I notice Jack is smiling at me. I smile back, feeling my cheeks warm up.

"Are those the only fairies you could find?" Bunny asks. "I think so, I looked everywhere."

"What about teeth?" North asks. "Teeth?- Oh...I didn't see any teeth anywhere either..."
"Pitch's must've taken them." Tooth mumbles, standing up and looking at the sky.

"YOU TOOK MY TEETH! YOU...YOUR'E GOING TO REGRET THIS!"

The ground shakes and it goes dark again.
"And so what if I did? What are you going to do about it..." We hear Pitch's voice say.
I fly around and try finding him in the dark aura, but failing.

"You will all be so weak before you know it. I'll be watching." He says before the ground stops shaking.

All the guardians are in shock, not knowing what to do.

I hop into the sleigh as North looks at me. "Come on, we have to keep trying"
They look at me with lost hope. "Please. I believe in us."

"We can't give up."
