Averys P.O.V
Everyone had finished packing. North packed sacks of presents, snow globes, and weapons. Bunny packed eggs, paint and brushes. And Tooth packed jackets and sweaters, food, etc.
I didn't really pack much- just a blanket and pillow, same with Jack.
"All aboard!" North yelled as all the guardians got into the sleigh, along with the elves and yetis.
Me and Jack sat next to each other as I couldn't help but smile, I know my plans going to work out!
North whipped his reindeer as the sleigh blasted into the sky, and we were off to arrive at Winter Falls..
Pitch's P.O.V
Everyday without you is like hell.
I miss your laughter and smile, your bravery and curiosity, your creativity that never left you...
But I was a horrible father, I knew I should've done better. I shouldn't have listened to the prisoners who intimidated your voice, the one moment I thought I would be reunited with you once again..
Averys P.O.V
"WOO! It's cold here!" Jack laughed as he hopped out of the sleigh. I looked and saw bunny shivering, "I-I don't think i'll be able to survive here, mate" He hugged his arms. I playfully rolled my eyes as I rummaged through some of the sacks of supplies and pulled out a cape for him. "Well your going to have to stay here until we defeat Pitch" I put the cape on him as he stopped shivering a bit. "It won't be that bad if I'm with you" He winked, I laughed awkwardly as I blushed.
"Come on, Avery" Jack grabbed me by my arm. "Let's go find the cabin" I noticed Jack glaring at Bunny once again. "Uh...Sure""I think I see it!" I notice a building not to far from where we are. Running through the trees in the woods, I opened up the Winter Falls book for reference. I smiled as I was looking at it, the large cabin that took care of many people for so long, before Pitch came...
Well, let's not think of him right now. I found the page which showed the picture of the cabin from 1606.I grumbled at how different it looked. "Well, it's been 400 years since this place has been touched...so you can't really expect it to be in perfect condition" Jack shrugged with a slight grin. "Yeah, I guess your right"
"Here we are!" North laughed as he stared at the cabin with a smile on his face. "Nice right?"
"So nice!" Tooth smiled. The guardians chose their rooms as we all started unpacking stuff.
I placed the last bag of supplies in a room as I huffed, I was exhausted yet again.I walked into my selected room to find Jack sitting on the windowsill staring at the snowy sky.
"Hey roomie," I smirked, sitting on my bed. "Sorry that we have to share a room, It's a cramped cabin." He chuckled. "I don't mind."
He went back to staring at the sky, and I couldn't help but ask...
"What's on your mind?"
"I just can't wait until this is all over, when it is, I'm going to make sure the kids have the best winter of their lives." He smiled warmly. I sat across from him.
"You really miss the kids, huh." I said softly as I stared through the icy glass.
"Of course! I miss having snowball fights and bringing joy to the kids, it was my life, and now I feel like Im not living it..."
My smile slowly faded as I watched him look down, I hated him feeling this way, but I never had the confidence to really...help that much."Who was the first kid that ever believed in you?" I asked, hoping that would make him feel better.
Which Im assuming it did a bit, because he started smiling again. "This young girl, she first saw me when she was this little baby, and she smiled- oh and she giggled, she seemed so happy to see someone she never met, and so was I! I ran around her room and swooped her up! The feeling of being believed in for the first time was amazing" He smiled brightly.
"But..." "But?""She passed away. At age 10, 10 years of us being friends, I saw her almost every day, when I found out she died I..."
"...Never-mind" I felt my heart sink a bit. Poor Jack. I put my hand on top of his as he looked at me.
"I'm sorry for your loss, I bet she was a great kid."
He interlocked his fingers with mine as I blushed, he lifted my hand as he looked confused.
"Why do you always wear...gloves?"
I tilted my head as I stared at my fingers, why did I wear gloves? There wasn't anything to...hide. "Eh," I slipped my white gloves off. "Dunno"Jack stared at my arm for a minute, his lips parted with surprise. "Wow..."
I looked at my arms, and I had almost forgotten myself what they looked like. I was reborn with these gloves, and had hardly taken them off.
"Your arms...are gold?"
