Avery exhaled as studied his eyes as she looked down.
"Whatever you say." She breathed out. "I'm serious!" Jack said. "I know," Avery said with a sad tone, walking away. Jack watched Avery walk away with his eyebrows furrowed, not being able to imagine Avery disappearing because no one believed in her.

"Is everyone ready for lunch?" Avery asked as the kids cheered, leading them to the kitchen as they all grabbed their lunch and ate.

Jack went into the kitchen where Avery was washing dishes as he sat on the corner. They were silent, it didn't seem like Avery wanted to talk. "...Do you not think that they can believe in you?" Jack asked. "Of course not!" She raised her tone. "It- It doesn't show me in the book...and..." She sighed. "It's fine, Jack." She aggressively scrubbed the dishes. "Let it go." She muttered.

Jack held back a few tears that pricked at his eyes, only replying with a hoarsely "Alright."
Hopping off the counter, he started collecting the rest of the plates.
Avery watched from a distance as regret started spewing inside of her, she couldn't help the way she was feeling. Stress, sadness, anger...trauma, it was all inside of her, and at the end of the day, it wouldn't be that bad to just, disappear.

After finishing the rest of her cleaning, she grabbed the book as she heard Jack say from a distance, "Who's reading for storytime?" with a happy tone. The kids cheered as she furrowed her brows with a slight frown.
"It'll be okay," She comforted herself.

"Alright everyone," She sat down in front of the kids. "You ready for this story?"
They all nodded as she opened the book.

"Once upon a time, in a time far from ours, there were 4 special guardians.
Santa Claus, The Tooth fairy, The easter bunny, Sandman, and jack frost.

These guardians guarded over all the kids around the world.
The tooth fairy, the guardian of memories collecting the teeth and memories, The easter bunny, spreading hope, and being the guardian that made easter, a fun holiday we're bonding is the strongest among everyone.
Santa Claus, being the guardian of wonder, giving all of you gifts on Christmas.
Sandman, the guardian of dreams, granting you the best dreams that you can.
and Jack Frost, the guardian of fun, giving you all your most favorite days, snow days. The days where you slide on your snowboards, fully dressed in winter clothing.

They look after all of you,"
Jack glanced at her.

"They care about you."
A couple of tears formed in her eyes as Jack's face softened.
"You forgot about one," He said, Avery looked at him.

"Avery, the guardian of luck, granting luck to all of you. A guardian angel that deserves a lot more recognition than she gets."

"So she is real," Jason said as a smile formed on her face. "She sure is! And she knows each and every one of you,"

"And loves, each and every one of you."

"And she loves you too, John."
Avery mumbled.
