Averys P.O.V

I prayed for it to be a normal night, where I could sleep peacefully and wake up with a clear mind. If I could just relax...I'd feel much better once I got back to Norths workshop.

I heard a couple of gasps that snapped me out of my daydream as I looked around.

Black dust.

I slump, anxiety filling up my chest. "Not again..." I mumble as a frown. The sleigh goes faster as my eyes widened and I almost lost my breath...

A large black-dust tornado was ahead of us. It started to become windy as the cold breeze went through my hair as North landed the sleigh.

"North-" I tried stopping him, he took out his swords, and with a furious expression on his face, he prepared for the worse.

"COME AT ME PITCH!" He yelled. I gulped, he is going to regret this. We were all hit with a gust of black dust as I could barely stand.

I watched as Sandy got In front of the guardian and used his powers to fight back pitch. Black dust started surrounding him, aggressively lifting him in the air.

"SANDMAN!" I gasped as I snapped out of my sanity, flying fast into the air. "AVERY!" Jack yelled as he flew after me.

Tears pricked my eyes as I watch sandy become weak, strangled by Pitch's gosh...darn...dust.

No, no, no, please...

I reached my hand out for him as he tried to, but Pitch was too powerful. He bit his lip as his gold tone started turning black, he could barely fight back.

The wind didn't help either, for I was slipping in the air, my wings weren't strong enough. Tears flew out my eyes as I sobbed, I can't lose sandy...everything will fall apart.

Sandy slowly started turning black as his eyes softened, closing them...his dust disappearing, Pitch was controlling him.

"LET GO OF HIM!" I sobbed. He was gone. All was left was Pitch's haunting laughter.

The strength in my wings collapsed as I started falling, please...let me wake up...this is all just a bad dream.

I felt someone catch me as I opened my eyes. "Avery..." I began sobbing again, trying to get out of his grip. "Let me go! I need to save him, Jack!" I sobbed and tried getting out of his grip.

"Let him go." Is all he said.
He hugged me tightly, slightly rocking me.

"Let him go."
