Hinata's POV

"Hey, get up." I slowly opened my eyes, Tsukishima giving my arm a kick. Yamaguchi grabbed Tsukishima's arm with a huff.

"Hey.. I said you can wake him up not kick him..!" Yamaguchi said as I sat up. I yawned before looking around sleepily.

"Where's Kageyama?"

"He went home like he's supposed to. C'mon. If you don't get the sun up, people will wonder what's wrong." Tsukishima said as I looked at the blank sky. I nodded in understand and quickly set the sun into motion to begin rising. After the dawn started approaching, I yawned and flopped back on the stone roof. Yamaguchi an Tsukishima walked off to go start their work as I stared up at the sky.

I didn't mean to fall asleep so fast on Kageyama last night. I must've been tired from staying up all night the night beforehand. But at least I got to keep Kageyama some company. Even for a god, being alone is no fun. Not at all. But now I was back at square one... What can I do..? Suga was right, normally I'm not bored. But I am now.

I sat back up and took a good look at the sky before hopping off the temple and landing on the ground. The height was a bit dangerous but, I really don't think that a fall can even kill me at this point. Even though I didn't want to wander into the city, I could still take a stroll. So I wandered off and looked around. Sometimes it was boring though. I've walked everywhere you could go around here.

I've certainly had enough time to do so. I've visited the ocean that surrounds Athens, I've visited every beach, cave, cave-in, just everything around here. Huh. Kageyama's never gotten to see them though. Maybe tonight, he could come with me to one of the coasts by the ocean. He was allowed to leave that temple, he just probably never did since nothing was really lit up at night. But if I was there with him, then he'd be just fine!

My boredom was quickly cured as I ran off to go find which spot I could take him to. Let's see.. Would he like the ones with caves? He couldn't see anything, and I guess there wasn't anything super special inside of them. There were animals, but, most of them were kinda slimy so I don't think he'd wanna hold them.

While I was walking, I saw a few other people here. Most people who were around here were travelers and stopped at Athens for supplies or to sell their treasures. It was always amusing to see what types of things were brought back. So, I took a break and watched the people gathering their things. While I watched, I noticed a pair of the travelers talking together. And the woman was pregnant.

I smiled slightly at the sight. Human babies were cute. They were noisy too though. I've had humans offer to let me hold their children, some even asked I do it thinking it'd bring them good luck or fortune. Personally I don't think me touching anything does that but, if it made them happy, what've I got to lose by holding a baby.

After the day was over, I was pretty tired but I set the sun to go down and make room for the moon. It wasn't too long until I saw the moon appear. Kageyama's up! As quickly as I could, I returned to where he was, and he was where he has been.

"Kageyama!" I shouted, Kageyama turning his head. I giggled, making sure I was glowing brightly so he could see me. He carefully got up and walked over, tilting his head down to look at me.

"Staying up again?"

"Kinda. Hey, I wanna show you something!"

"What?"

"You've never gotten to go on the coastlines around Athens, have you?"

"No."

"Then come on! I wanna show you one. And don't worry, I'll stay close so you don't run into anything." I said with a giggle, extending my hand. Kageyama looked down at it before sighing and holding my hand as we both climbed off the temple. Kageyama followed behind me to where I had found. When we got there, I picked up a handful of the sand and put it in his palm. His expression making me laugh.

"What is this..?"

"Sand."

"It's disgusting feeling." He said, dumping the sand back onto the ground and shaking his hand. I laughed and shrugged.

"Well it is grainy but it isn't that bad. C'mon we can go in the water."

"In the water?"

"Well, not all the way but you can feel it."

"Hinata, I know what water feels like."

"Well yeah but have you ever walked along as the waves ever so slightly splash against your legs?"

"...Uh."

"That's what I thought! Now come on!" I said, grabbing his hand and dragging him to where the water would recede slightly before coming back. Kageyama took in a breath slightly when the water hit his feet and legs.

"It's cold."

"You get used to it. Or, do you wanna leave?"

"No, it's alright." He said, continuing to walk with me. While we walked, I kept a hold of Kageyama's hand so he wouldn't trip over anything since he's never been here before and he couldn't, well, see.

"Hey Kageyama?"

"Yeah."

"Is that all you do all night?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean just, sit or lay there and stare up at the sky. Alone."

"Oh. Yes, that's all I do all night."

"You've never left to go wander around?"

"I'd likely make a fool of myself by walking into everything."

"Well, maybe. But it'd be something else to do rather than just sit there all night."

"I told you I'm used to doing it. And I like doing it."

"Don't you like doing this?"

"It's alright." He said, tilting his head back to probably look at the moon again. Was he bored? Maybe he was just doing this to be nice cause I told him I wanted to show him something again tonight.

"Oh, okay. Uh, hey if you don't really wanna do this, I can take you back to the temple." I offered, Kageyama nodding his head. He followed me in silence as we walked back. I felt bad. I had hoped that he was enjoying himself like I was...

I know that everyone else seemed pretty happy. Tsukishima was always kind of, grumpy sounding, but he never seemed upset when Yamaguchi was with him. Suga and Daichi spent a lot of time together. Everyone I knew seemed to have someone to keep them company all day, or night. Except Kageyama. And me.

Everyone was nice to me, but sometimes I felt like I was bothering them when I'd wander off to go find them to try and get some company all day. Suga and Daichi won't tell me, but I know that sometimes they prefer to be alone. And Tsukishima and Yamaguchi always just do their jobs and go home together. I could always travel further to talk to the other gods where they live, but they had their own lives and jobs to perform.

Huh... Maybe I was lonelier than I realized. I never noticed how much better I felt to talk and wander with Kageyama. It was like he was my person to keep me company. Maybe that's it! Everyone else has someone to keep them company. Kageyama and I can be that someone to each other! Then, neither of us will have to be so lonely.
