Kageyama's POV
I yawned, pulling myself away from Fenrir. I gave his nose a pat, earning a soft whimper from him.

"Okay. You can come with us. As long as you behave." I said, feeling my way back over to the Nightmare. Fenrir got up and I could feel the wind from his tail wagging. Hmph. Overgrown puppy dog. I climbed back onto the Nightmare, trying to nudge her forward but she wouldn't move.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to nudge her onewards again. I heard some rustling. There was something there. Slowly I slid off of the Nightmare and listened. It sounded like more dogs??

"You don't have puppies, do you Fenrir?" I asked, Fenrir growling slightly. Alright, I'll take that as a no. I stayed still as he noise approached. Neither Fenrir nor the Nightmare seemed frightened. They seemed intrigued. So I knew it wasn't dangerous. I felt two noses sniff at my clothing. They were certainly canines of some type.

"Hey, are you Kageyama?" I heard a voice say in the same direction as the canines.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Atsumu."

"Atsumu?"

"Oh, sorry. God of souls and I live in the underworld with Sakusa, god of the dead."

"...What do you want?"

"Do you know someone named Hinata?"

"Do you know where Hinata is? Is he dead? Why is the god of souls asking me about him!" I semi-shouted, Atsumu telling the two canines to leave me alone.

"Calm down moon boy. He isn't dead. Not yet at least."

"...What?"

"But he is dying.. He asked me to find you."

"Where is he? I've been searching for days for him."

"Well, then we better get going quickly so you can see him."

A Day Time Skip: Hinata's POV
"Hinata?" I slowly sat up and glanced over. I couldn't see too well. Everything looked like it was getting dark... But I recognized the voice.

"Kageyama???" I mumbled, seeing him walk over to me. He placed his hand on my arm, his expression sad.

"You aren't glowing.."

"Sakusa and Atsumu, they said something did this to me..."

"Your skin is cold. It's shadows. This is my fault.. If I didn't let my emotions get the better of me, this wouldn't have happened."

"What are you talking about..??"

"...I'll explain later. I can fix this." He mumbled, placing both hands on my body where it was the coldest. He closed his eyes and soon, my skin was returning to normal color. Once it was all cleared, my glow naturally came back. Kageyama opened his eyes, seeing my glow and smiling faintly.

"I'll have to write that down." Sakusa said, suddenly entering the room. Atsumu smiled and crashed into Sakusa while I stood up, feeling better finally. I grabbed Kageyama's hand with a happy smile and giggle.

"You saved me!"

"It was my fault this happened to you in the first place.."

"No it wasn't... I wasn't too careful when I went to go home that night."

"But I shouldn't have told you to go away in the middle of the night."

"Well, it's okay. I know you didn't mean for me to get hurt.."

"..."

"Kageyama...?"

"I'm fine. Let's go home." He mumbled quietly. I nodded, asking him to hold on before I ran over and hugged Atsumu. He smiled and hugged me back. When I tried to hug Sakusa, he seemed uncomfortable but allowed me to hug him. Once I pulled away from them both, Atsumu pulled me aside and smiled.

"Hey, good luck. You get home and you better be careful."

"Thank you for finding him, Atsumu.."

"Sure thing. I wouldn't mind if you came and visited some time. Just hopefully not, you know, dead." He said with a small laugh. I giggled and nodded before running back over to Kageyama. He faced me when I grabbed his hand and helped guide him back outside. Once we were outside, I stared wide-eyed at two massive shadow animals waiting there.

"Woah, who are these???"

"Don't worry. They're friendly." Kageyama said, walking over and placing his hand on the horse, thing. He pulled himself up and sat on the horse's back before extending his hand out to me. I grabbed his hand and pulled myself up as well. Oo, the horse was warm.

Kageyama gave the horse a gentle kick and it walked forward, the giant, wolf? Following us. I didn't really know about any of the night creatures. Only the day ones, or ones that existed during the day. But, I've been ill... uh..

"Kageyama? How long have I been gone??"

"Close to a week now."

"A week! Oh no, are the people in Athens okay? Are the animals okay? Are the others okay???" I asked worried. It isn't like I'm trying to sound so important, but the sun is kinda important for the people, the animals, the crops and fields that they use for food.

"Everyone is fine, more or less. We just need to get home."

"Okay... Kageyama? Are you okay?? You look, tired.. Have you slept at all?"

"No, I haven't."

"You haven't??"

"No. I've been looking for you."

"You have?" I asked, Kageyama nodding. I smiled faintly, wrapping my arms around him from behind. I buried my face into his back while we were headed home. Everything was rather peaceful, I was happy to even just be near Kageyama again... Even if he said otherwise before..

"Kageyama??"

"Hm."

"...When we get back home.. Do you really not want me to stay with you at night anymore..?"

"..I-" He was interrupted by, a really really scary noise. We both turned our heads in that direction, I know Kageyama couldn't see it. But I sure did...

"W-what is that

"W-what is that...!" I said, hanging onto Kageyama tighter. He tilted his head down slightly, closing his eyes before he took a shaky breath.

"K-Kageyama???"

"I created that."

"What??"

"...I created whatever that is. I can feel it." He said slowly. I had no idea what he was talking about. Kageyama wouldn't create such a... scary looking thing would he?? He wouldn't have created a monster.
