Kageyama's POV
I slid off of the Nightmare and faced whatever this thing was that I had created. I could feel the Nightmare and Fenrir's fear of this thing.

"Kageyama.. what are you doing..!"

"Stay here."

"You can't go near that thing alone....!!"

"You can't go near it at all. Stay here." I said, walking over to the creature. It was freezing. I could feel the cold radiating off of it like it was ice. Fenrir fled, and the Nightmare walked off further until I couldn't hear her hooves anymore. Hopefully with Hinata with her.

"What are you..?" I mumbled, as I stared straight at the creature.

"I'm you."

"...You can talk?" I said with surprise. In the hundreds of years that I've encountered my creations, not one of them spoke. Even the ones that have been described to me as "human-like".

"Of course I can."

"You're the same one who struck me." I said, baffled on how it could even harm me.

"I am."

"What are you?"

"I told you, I'm you."

"No you're not."

"I'm a monster aren't I? You're the one who created me. What does that make you?"

"..."

"You're no god. More like a demon as I am. All the people are afraid of you. How many innocent humans and mortals have died due to the monsters that YOU made, including me. I'm not only your fear, or your anger. I'm stronger than all of them." It said with a foul howl. It made me even afraid.

"I don't care. I've had to live with the knowledge of what I've done for years."

"Every time you feel sadness, pain, fear, despair, loneliness, worthlessness, darkness. The stronger I will get."

"..."

"I can feel your fear now. It only makes me stronger. I'm different than anything you've ever made."

"Leave me, and Athens alone."

"Everyone thinks that the god of the night can only be killed by sun. But there's more than one way to kill a god. And often, it is because of their own creations." It said before suddenly disappearing. It left a linger cold from its presence. I stood there quietly. I felt cold, and scared.. lonely and sad. Now that thing was roaming around because of me. Just by its presence I could feel it was stronger than any of the others. It's smarter. What if it tried to come after Hinata-

"Kageyama!" I looked over quickly when I saw Hinata's glow. He grabbed onto me in a hug.

"Hinata, I told you to stay back."

"You were standing there like you were frozen! You looked like you were talking to no one. I got scared.." He mumbled, burying his face into my chest.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you..."

"Where did that thing go?"

"It left."

"It did?"

"...Yeah. Come on. Let's get you home." I said, picking Hinata up carefully and walking back to where the Nightmare was making some noise. We both got back onto her back and kept heading home. Hinata held onto me quietly, and it was nice having him here. But I couldn't stop thinking of that thing. Did I really end up making it, something so evil... It was right. If I had made it, what did that make me?

Hinata's POV
I kept quiet on the journey back home. That thing was so scary. And Kageyama said that he made it..? I don't get it, how did he make something like that?

"Kageyama?"

"..."

"Kageyama??"

"Huh?"

"What did you mean when you said that you made that thing..?"

"...Every single monster of the night.. I made them."

"How?"

"Well, I didn't mean to make them. They're, they're all manifestations."

"Of what?"

"My feelings."

"...Your feelings?"

"Yes. This Nightmare, what we're sitting on, she's made from my nightmares. Nightmares is all that she can cause. That wolf was from my anger. There are other ones made from sadness or just plain darkness or pain." Kageyama explained quietly. That's awful... That means Kageyama has been so sad, or angry, or scared that these creatures were made.

"So, what was that other thing made from..?"

"I don't know. I've never experienced a creature like that." He said, turning his head to look at me over his shoulder. I nodded slightly in thought.

"Are you scared of the shadow things?"

"No. In a way, they're all part of me."

"...I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I can't imagine how sad you've been... and lonely."

"..Oh. It's alright."

"No it's not. It's a terrible feeling for anyone. Even us."

"I guess."

"I just wish I could've helped. I never meant to bother you though." I mumbled quietly. Kageyama stayed quiet for a few moments before shaking his head.

"..You never bothered me."

"I didn't?"

"No. I only told you those things so you'd get some actual rest. I was scared you'd get ill from staying up at night. And turns out I just almost killed you."

"Kageyama, you didn't almost kill me!"

"Of course I did. I told you to go away and you were attacked by something I made." He said, sounding guilty. He shouldn't feel guilty, it really wasn't his fault at all..

"Kageyama, can we stop for a second?" I said, Kageyama nodding. He tapped the Nightmare's neck and she came to a halt. We both climbed off. I glanced around before grabbing Kageyama's face by cupping his cheeks. He looked a bit surprised as I kinda pulled him down because he was a lot taller than me.

"What are you doing?"

"Stop feeling bad for what happened!"

"Hinata-"

"Nope! Stop it, right now! You'll only make it worse if you blame yourself. I'm right here, got it? You saved me." I said with a smile, even though I know he couldn't see it. Kageyama stared at me a moment before nodding. I let go of his face and felt him wrap his arms around me. He nuzzled his face into my neck and mumbled.

"Hinata..?"

"Yes??"

"I need to get rid of that creature. It's too dangerous."

"Then I'm gonna be right by your side to help."
