Bokuto's POV
"Bokuto?" I quickly turned around, smiling to see Akaashi. Thank Kuroo for that advice to talk to him. He and I have been getting to know each other a lot better now. And he has a great personality, which is great. Because I already knew he was prettier than the goddess of beauty or the god of vanity. At least to me.

"Yeah??"

"There have been a few creatures near the shallows that are startled of something. They said it looks like a creature of shadow and fire are there. Would you come take a look at it with me?" Akaashi asked.

"Of course! Come on, let's go see." I said, both of us heading to where he said the creatures were fleeing from. When I got out of the water, I saw a Nightmare drinking. And a man, well likely god, on it's back.

"Who are you?" I asked, the man turning his head in my direction.

"Who's there?"

"I'm Bokuto. God of the seas. And you areeeee?"

"Kageyama. God of the moon and night."

"Ohhhh, that explains why you're on a Nightmare. What are you doing here it's the middle of the day- Hey where's the sun?" I said, looking straight up at the blank sky.

"Something has happened to Hinata, the god of the sun. I'm trying to find him."

"That doesn't sound good."

"No, it's not... I'm worried if he's dead."

"Well if he was, his magic would be bestowed to another so the sun would come back up. So, he's alive." I said, Kageyama nodding quietly. I tilted my head as I looked at him. He looked young. At least in terms of gods.

"I see.. thank you. Come on buddy." Kageyama said, patting the Nightmare's neck. The Nightmare lifted it's head and turned to walk off. It left a slight singe trail underneath it's hooves. Gee, I hope everything goes well.

"Thank you Bokuto." Akaashi said once they were gone.

"Of course! It's safe here, you can let all the creatures know that they can go back to their homes!" I said with a smile, Akaashi smiling ever so slightly before he leaned close and gave my cheek a kiss. I stared wide-eyed at him, which made him laugh faintly.

"Are you alright?" He asked with a tilted head. I couldn't help but smile widely and tackled him, both of us splashing back into the water. He held onto me with his arms around my neck as we sunk back into the water. I planted my lips onto his. I would've been perfectly happy to kiss him forever, but he and I had things to do. When we pulled away, Akaashi smiled gently and gave my neck a kiss.

"I'll go find the animals who hid. And you must go tend to the northern seas. The waves are causing the baby turtles some issues." He said, pulling himself away from me. I nodded, wanting another kiss though. Akaashi noticed my pout and gave me another kiss on the cheek before leaving to go find the animals. He's so perfect.

Kageyama's POV
Bokuto has a point. If the sun returns, then it's likely that Hinata's magic would be passed on to someone else. It gave me hope that he's alive. But I don't know where to even begin looking. Not like I could see where I was going anyway. I was entirely relying on the Nightmare to try and get me somewhere.

"I hope I find Hinata..." I ended up mumbling, talking to the Nightmare who gave me a small snort.

"I still feel bad for what I told him. Have you ever fallen in love?" I asked, knowing full well that the Nightmare couldn't talk. But it did give a nod of it's head. I smiled slightly, hanging onto it tightly with a sigh.

"Wow, so even you have fallen in love? How unfair. Bet you got together with whoever you liked." I said with a faint smile, the Nightmare giving another bob of its head. I do wonder if this thing was a boy or girl, but I really really don't want to find out the only way I could. Maybe I should have asked Bokuto while at that water.

"Hey, are you a boy?"  I asked, the Nightmare shaking its head about.

"So you're a girl?" I got a definitive nod. Okay, that solves that. I'm glad Nightmares are so intelligent. Actually, all of the shadow creatures are intelligent. Not all of them are well accepted though. I suppose that is why I like them. But at the same time... I feel bad. These creatures scare and hurt people. And one of them could have hurt Hinata. And it would have been all my fault. Every single creature came to be from me and my emotions. My own misery manifested monsters.

What if I had created something that hurt Hinata... I did this. All because of years and years of my own fears or anger, or loneliness did I make so many shadow monsters... It made me understand why I wasn't exactly the favorite god of the people of Athens. I was only given offerings in the temple because they feared me. They didn't love me like they love Hinata or Asahi or Kiyoko and Yachi. And they had reason to fear me.

I was the reason it was dangerous at night. Hinata never should have come to see me. He should have stayed away from me, then that way he'd be safe. He wouldn't be hurt. Once I find him, I'll make sure that he's okay and back home in Olympus. And I'll stay by myself like I belong...

I was lost in my thoughts and feelings when suddenly the Nightmare stopped and seemed scared. What? These things never get scared... I heard a chilling noise. What was that? I've never heard that noise before. I slowly slid off of the Nightmare, placing my hand on her neck.

"Stay here.." I mumbled, walking closer to where the noise came from. I couldn't find what made the noise though. And the noise seemed to fade... What was that..? It sounded like a monster. My thoughts were broken when I felt the Nightmare gently nudge the back of my neck. I turned back around and just quietly climbed back onto her back.

"I don't know what that was.. But come on. We need to find Hinata."
