So this is the final revised edition!!!
It was Friday morning and Denise and I got ready to go to school. Well I did. Denise was going Christmas shopping with her mom today, lucky. I packed jeans and a white knit sweater. Her mom was off to work and she made me eggs. Soon it was time to go, and I went out to the mustang, where Noah was sitting in the drivers seat. He looked amazing. Hs dark hair perfectly messy, his emerald eyes shining, and he had on a leather jacket and faded jeans. I probably looked like a fool getting into the car. "Morning." he said and started driving at a fast speed. "Noah slow down!" I ordered. "Fine." he muttered, stepping off the gas. "So let's talk." I said. "Not here." he replied. "I thought that was the point of you driving me." I looked at him. "I have to show you something." he said, keeping his eyes on the road. "What?" I asked. "Just be quiet." Noah snapped. I crossed my arms and looked out the window. Someone was grumpy.
Suddenly I noticed the stone building known as Fisheads High pass by. "Noah you passed the school." He turned to me. "Were not going to school." he said. "Not going to school. Are you crazy?" I asked. "Calm down." he replied. "Noah turn around!" I yelled. "Please be quiet Anna." he rolled his eyes. "Fine. I don't want to talk to you." I glared. "Good." he smirked. I was really annoyed by him right now. I placed my hand on the door latch. Maybe I could escape.."Don't even think about it." Noah said without looking at me. Geez, he had eyes in the back if his head. After what seemed like a forever or silence, we arrived. We parked outside the iron gates. "Where are we?" I asked. He opened the gate and now I knew. A graveyard. I gasped. I remained silent, feeling tears in my eyes. Looking at a grave reminded me of my mother. "I can't.." I whispered, stopping in my tracks. "Annabelle. You can't hide forever." he walked towards me. "Well I am now." I said, backing up, hiding my red face from his. I felt his hand on my shoulder. "Come on." he said. I took a deep breath and followed him. We walked to a pine tree that had a marble headstone underneath garnished in flowers, candles, and paintings. I put a hand over my mouth when I read the inscription. "Julia Howard. 1967-2003. Beloved mother, artist and wife." I felt tears in my eyes. I looked at Noah who seemed enveloped staring at the grave, emotionless. "Noah-" I touched his arm with gentleness. He didn't flinch as I put both of my hands into his. I didn't care if we got along or not. At the moment, it was a time of peace and mourning. "Her grave is always so decorated. So many people loved her." he stared at the grave. "We receive so many paintings in the mail. They're great, I'm just afraid mine won't become special anymore. That's why I'm so protective of them." he said. "Are you kidding? You're paintings are amazing." I replied. "I don't know." he looked at me, out hands linked together. "Noah they are. Your mother loved you. Never forget that." I said, thinking of my mom. "I'm sorry." I whispered, and we hugged. I felt tears rolling down my eyes as he rubbed my back, calming me down. We must have hugged for five minutes until we let go and just looked at each other. "We should go to the car and get warm." Noah said and we left. We stood outside the car . Snowflakes fell from the sky. "Remember when you thought you saw your mom?" Noah turned to me. "Yes." I whispered. "I felt almost jealous." he replied. "Jealous, why?" I was confused. "I've been trying to see my mom. No matter how hard I try I can't." Noah said. "Julia will always be there. You may not see her, but she's there." I stated. He looked at me, Looking so intent. "I'm glad you took me here. I understand you better." I smiled. He looked at me and then got into the car.
*Ended abruptly sorry I needed to do
that for next chapter :)
