Silence hung in the air as Noah drove down the thruway, towards the city limits of the small town of Fisheads. "Where we will go?" I broke the ice. He kept looking forward, his mind seemed to be focused on something else. "Noah." I grabbed his attention and he craned his neck in my direction. "Yes?" he asked, his voice sounded cold. "Are you okay?" I asked instead. "Yeah, I'm fine." he spoke without moving his lips. "Are you sure?" I asked. His gaze met mine and held. His jaw clenched, sending ripples down his muscles. "Yes Anna." he said, his knuckles turning white by the hard grip he had on the steering wheel. "I don't think you are." I tried grabbing his hand and he didn't move his hand, swerving off the road to a stop. "what the hell?" I asked, looking at his face. "You need to get out." he glared. "Excuse me?" I asked, not understanding the situation. And that's when it happened. Noah's emerald eyes started turning blue. They turned a beautiful blue, like the Pacific Ocean. I gasped. "Whats happening?" I asked. His hair started to transform from a brown to a jet black. His hair held the same style and his skin tone and muscular physique remained the same. It was the same Noah, but with blue eyes and black hair. I blinked, was I dreaming? Then, he unbuttoned his shirt, his skin turned tan, and bronze colored lightning bolt crawled up his chest and stopped by his collar bone. It was beautiful, the whole thing. The lightning bolt shape gleamed and I looked up at his face, to find him staring at me, breathing heavily. His shirt was still unbuttoned, as he sat there, looking ashamed. "Who, what are you?" I asked quietly. This whole thing was still processing. Noah's same voice spoke. "I am a night rider." he replied. "A night rider?" I asked. "Its hard to explain." he sighed. "I want to know." I replied, my curiosity taking over. He was beautiful, a glow illuminated over him. "Not here, people will see. I'll take you to my house." he said and I nodded. I found it hard to keep my eyes away from him. I would cast sideway glances at him often. We arrived at his empty house and he took me to his room, and locked the door, shutting the curtains. "Paranoid?" I asked. He laughed. "You could say that." he replied, pulling his shirt off, taking by surprise. He looked incredibly hot. I bit my lip. He tossed it aside and walked towards me. What was he doing? He stood next to me, an inch from me. "Feel this." he touched the lightning bolt. Butterflies filled my stomach as I reached out and felt his abs, touching the lightning bolt. He looked at me as I did, and I stopped to look up at him. "What do you feel?" he asked. "Cold." I replied, my finger tracing it and then I let go. He nodded and pulled on a black shirt. "My mom was a Night rider. That's how I became one." he said and sat down on his bed. His room was very simple. A bed, desk, dresser, and trophies, a window overlooking the woods. "So what exactly is a night rider?" I asked. He sighed. Thousands of years ago, there was a ruler, Domir. He had a special power, given to him by the stars." he said until I had to cut him off. "The stars?" I asked. "Orions belt has three stars. Each one has a power. One strength, one knowledge, and the other equality. The three always have to be in balanced in order for a civilization to stay alive. My mother was chosen by them to become a night rider, people who have to communicate with the stars. We don't have a choice." he looked sad. "Wow, that's amazing." I whispered. "I have the ability to pick up cars, run at fast speeds, do math equations in my head." he looked out the window. "Pick up cars?" I laughed. "Yeah, only when I'm I'm this form." he sat on the edge of his bed. "And when are you?" I asked. "Every other night." he replied. "Wow, this-this is a lot to process." I rubbed my temples. He laughed, looking at me. "You have no idea what'd I give to be normal Anna. Another reason why I envy you." he said, his voice intense. Envy me? "Envy me? No you don't." I scoffed. He laughed and stood up an inch from where I was standing. "I envy everything about you." his minty breath washed over my face. "Me? I envy you!" I blurted, regretting it that very second. He stepped back and looked at me, as if I stabbed him. "Why?" he asked. "I don't know-you have a family, a sister I mean, and all the girls swoon over you, you get perfect grades, may I go on?" I asked. He walked closer and stopped. We stared at each-other. "You really confuse me." Noah shook his head. I didn't know what to say. His new blue eyes bored into mine and he walked forward, forcing me to walk back against the wall. His cold body pressed against mine, literally sending shivers through me. I couldn't help it any longer, I had to feel his kiss again, his body. He placed his hands on the wall. I placed my hand behind his neck. He flinched and kept a steady stare and leaned forward. His lips brushed slowly against mine. I placed my second hand behind his neck in response and the kissing grew faster, more intense. His hands moved to my waist. Slowly, he picked me up, my legs wrapping around his waist. He moved to the bed, placing me down and moving on top of me. He kept his weight off of me as we kissed. He started kissing my neck, sending desire throughout my body. It was the best feeling in the world. I let out a soft moan and he grinned. Suddenly, there was
a knock on the door.
