I made eye contact with Noah, who was at the counter, staring at me with fear. He was still standing. "You blew my cover. Thanks a lot missy."

The familiarity of the gun was unnerving. I could feel the eyes of everyone plastered onto me and the burglar. "Now, collect the phones of everyone here. If someone won't I might have to use this."

What was is going to do? I gulped and collected the phones from everyone, feeling incredibly terrible. The man was watching, so I couldn't try dialing 911. I reached Noah and held out my hand, my eyes on his. He reached into his pocket and handed me it, squeezing my arm with nod. What did that mean? I approached the man and he dumped then phones onto the ground. He lifted his leg and stomped on them. They were crushed into bits in a matter of a few seconds. I heard a few gasps, these phones were some of the peoples prized possessions. I heard a police siren. Someone must have seen from the outside. I let out a sigh of relief. The man laughed.

"Do you think it's that easy? Are you really naive? Stupid girl." he walked a step closer. I stepped back. "Well the police are here." I glanced out the glass doors at the men standing at a distance with guns. "As long as I have hostage, I cant be touched. And, I'll have you as an example."

he gripped my arm tightly and started walking me towards the door. I stuggled to release from his grip, but it was no use. I was stuck. He opened the glass doors, and I felt the cool morning air blast my face. I saw the police ready themselves with caution. "If you come near this building, this is what will happen to everyone." he pointed the gun at my forehead. I felt tears in my eyes as I thought of God. Was this the end? His hand clamped on the trigger. I closed my eyes and heard a grunt. I slowly opened my eyes and saw him laying flat out on the sidewalk, Noah standing over him with red knuckles. "Are you okay baby?" he asked huskily. "Noah!" I squealed and hugged him tightly. He held me close and wrapped his arms around me as the police came forward and cuffed the man.

The police asked everyone about the event, asking us if we knew him or anything. I had never seen him before, and he wasnt a night rider. I felt post stress from the event and Noah led me to the car to sit down. "I don't know Noah. I don't like this, always in danger. Always our lives in particular." I stared at the floor matt. "Living on the edge." he laughed and looked at me. "Noah, it's not funny! I'm being serious."

His expression stiffened. "I'm kidding-with me your safe."

"I know." I bit my lip. He sighed and summoned my onto his lap. I half smiled and obeyed, curling up on him. "I love you." I whispered and closed my eyes. I felt his kiss on my forehead, making it tingle.

I hadn't realized I fell asleep, when I opened my eyes, I saw Noah, staring ahead, steering the wheel. I jerked my head up and found to my intense surprise Noah was driving. I smiled. "Is this even legal?" I laughed, being only half serious. I saw Noah's grin and he looked down at me, stroking my hair. "No, but I have an amazing woman on my lap." he shrugged. I didn't know how to reply. I wasn't used to being the center of attention or complimented. I was usually the wallflower, which was who I was. That was fine with me. I smiled and leaned my head against his shoulder, watching the road. The clock read 3:00. "I've been asleep for that long!" I gasped. "Sure have. You smell really good."

I blushed, only making him smile more. I sat up, still against him. "You need to stop complimenting me." I stated. "I see. Not used to the flattery." he wiggled his eyebrows. "Maybe. That's none of your business." I glared. He laughed, seeming to be enjoying the conversation. "And let me guess. I am your first boyfriend." he laughed. A sudden shock of reality hit me like a tidal wave. Boyfriend. Noah was my boyfriend. I couldn't help but smiling at that. "No. Robert Fenwick." I recalled. "How old?"he asked. "Nine." I scoffed. "There you go." he rubbed my shoulders. "Let's go back to silence, shall we?" I asked, moving off his lap and stretching. He laughed. "How many girlfriends have you had?"

I was now curious. "Ten or eleven."

"Oh.." I looked out the window in embarrassment. "Anna-kidding relax." he laughed and I punched him arm. "That girl you saw was my only girlfriend, also the only girl nightrider in the area." he looked regretful.

We turned the radio on and drove, not knowing where we were headed. I listened to my Ipod and accidentally found myself signing along, making Noah look at me with a smile. "Youre a good singer." he raised an eyerbrow. "Please." I scoffed. "Really you are." he replied. I had a perfectly normal voice. I mean, it wasn't good but it wasn't bad either. "No." I laughed. "Its beautiful." he placed a hand on my leg. "Thank you." I gave in. "I'm taking you somewhere special." he looked at me.
