Freddie stopped playing in the studio to tell the band that he was taking a few days off.
Paul's head shot up and narrowed his eyes. What was going on he thought, probably something to do with that little bitch.
"What's going on Freddie?" Brian asked.
"When Cynthia comes out of the hospital, I want to take her away for a couple of days to recoup" Freddie said.
"Hospital! What are you talking about, what happened?" John asked.
Freddie couldn't go in to what actually happened. It was so incredibly personal and he was so devastated about his part in it.
"Woman's trouble!" Freddie said quietly. Upon hearing that, Paul sneered quite loudly.
Roger, who hates Paul intensely asked, "what was that Paul, you have something to say?"
"Only that that's a ploy used by women to con men into feeling sorry for them" Paul said.
"Shut the fuck up Paul, you don't know what you're talking about" Freddie shouted.
Paul was taken aback at Freddie's response and was also greeted by an applause from the other band members. Feeling shamed and disrespected, Paul turn around and left the mixing room.
"I had better step this plan up a notch, I'm losing ground" Paul thought. He had to get back into Freddie's good graces for his plan to work. If Freddie was angry at him he wouldn't go to his "party."
It was "drag" night at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Paul was donning his favorite drag clothes and makeup. He was going alone and would have to pay for it himself. Usually Freddie pays for eeeverything. . He didn't care because he had a purpose, he was a man on a quest and a personal agenda.
He entered The Vauxhall not recognized. His makeup and wig changed his look entirely. He couldn't and wouldn't remove his "cock duster" so he over emphasized his mustache, and it worked. Nobody not even his friends, knew who he was. He kept the pitch of his voice higher as he went to the bar to order his drink and spread his venom.
"Vodka on the rocks, please" he told the bartender. Turned around with his back at the bar and watched the festivities. Someone next to him struck up a conversation and Paul answered, with a sigh, "you think Freddie Mercury will show up?"
"Don't know" the stranger said, "by the way, my name is Larry" and offered his hand. Paul shook it and said his name was Sean.
Paul/Sean sighed and said, "wow it's terrible about Freddie, don't you think?
Larry asked "what are you talking about?"
"Well, I hope he's okay but I was told he had been seeing a woman lately and she was hospitalized with a severe STD infection. I hope she hasn't given it to Freddie" he said quietly
"Omg, Freddie!" Larry said.
"Excuse me for a bit, dear, I have to use the mens room " Paul said, wanting out of there, he already started his damage.
"Do you want some company" smirked Larry.
"No thank you sweetheart, I really have to use the toilet" and with that Paul swept away. He turned back to see if Larry took the bait and he certainly did. He called over several of his friends and began to talk animatedly. Paul waited until they were out of line of sight and he left knowing his plan was on its way. Next stop, Heaven.
He entered Heaven, and again his MO was in action. At the bar he ordered his drink and struck up a conversation the bartender. Bartenders are notorious gossips and who better to spread the story. Paul ordered his drink and the bartender asked if he knew him, that he looked a little familiar. Paul raised his voice a bit and said it was his first time so he asked generic questions that a first-timer would ask.
