My word, this is turning into a mystery, rather than a Freddie Mercury love story.  Sorry all, my fingers  seem to be detached from my brain and they are running away. I'm going to try to lasso it back to where it belongs, but my mind is on other things...and I keep  on being outbid on the Sotherby auctions. Can you imagine, his little sterling mustache comb is now up to $32,000.

"Sir Peter?" Freddie said.

"Oh, Freddie, surprised to uh...see you here"

"Surprised, surprised, Sir Peter. I can ask you the same thing " as Freddie's eyes went from Sir Peter  to Rudy Guiliani.

"Cynthia has been kidnapped, she's gone and no one knows where she is. Why are you here?"

"Why Freddie, I'm...."

"Listen, we are in the US now. I don't give a shit about British protocol with you. Where the fuck is my fiancee and what do you know and what are you going to do about it?" Freddie yelled, turning red as his  veins bulged in his neck and was on the way to losing his voice.

Guiliani looked towards the New Scotland Yard commissioner and the both shrugged and nodded in resignation.

"Freddie, please calm down.  Let's go into my office for a chat, shall we" Rudy said as he also gave instructions not to be disturbed.

"Marvin, join us" Freddie said

Guliani sat behind his desk as Sir Peter walked over to the window.

"Freddie" Rudy said, "stop pacing".

"No God dammit, no. And don't tell me to be calm!" he yelled.

"Please, where is Cynthia?" Freddie pleaded in the most agonizing way.

"Cynthia is fine" said Sir Peter as he continued looking out the window.

"Again, Freddie please be seated and we will explain."

Freddie sat cautiously as he lit a cigarette.

Rudy's POV

Freddie,  Cynthia is fine. She is in a safe place. She was removed from the hospital to safeguard her well-being  as well as for yours.

Let me explain. And please Freddie, try not to interrupt until I've finished. You are a bit of a hothead you know.

Uh, Uh, Uh, Freddie, please sit down and let  me explain.

We all know that through Michael Ranier, Prenter infiltrated Cynthia's business and was dealing in drugs. We also know that Prenter is obsessively in love with you and that's why he tried to eliminate Cynthia in the London hospital

Again, we know that the Yakuza is no longer involved and  that makes it so much safer, and I believe you were responsible for that, Freddie.

Hearing that, Freddie blushed a bit but nodded in understanding.

Therefore, we've decided, Sir Peter and  myself, to safely remove the one thing that Prenter could use against you, and that was Cynthia Lewis. Of course, that opened the possibility of Prenter going after you. We were counting on that and of course there has been security all around you Freddie, without your knowing that. Your own personal bodyguard Marvin was apprised of the situation, and has been working with us.

Freddie shot Marvin a look that signified hellfire is on the loose.

We are trying to draw him out and once captured, we would hopefully find out about his drug dealings and who the kingpin is.  "By-the-by, Freddie, you're not utilizing drugs, are you?" Sir Peter asked.

No Sir Peter, that has stopped quite a bit ago and you may not know it, but I am going to become a father. Using would be a seemingly irresponsible thing to do so.

"Uh, Freddie, listen, about that, er... we had to tell Ms. Lewis about her pregnancy. We couldn't move her safely without her knowing this.  We know you wanted to be the one informing her of this, but Freddie it had to be done."

Hearing this, Freddie jumped to his feet as his chair fell backwards and stomped out of the US Attorney's office looking to kill someone. Marvin ran after him, after all he was his security. Marvin was worried a little because Freddie could be a loose-cannon, so unpredictable. Freddie leaned against a wall and rooted around his pocket for his Marlboros. Not like his Silk Cuts that he used in the UK, but the Marlboro Lights. Marvin leaned over to Freddie to light his cigarette as Freddie thought he shouldn't be so angry at Marvin, he was only doing his job.

Well maybe, I'll have to stop using them altogether, he thought. He felt so deflated. In his mind, he planned something so special in telling  Cynthia that she was pregnant, and now all of his plans went  awry. He wanted to so see her so badly, she must be so frightened. He changed his whole lifestyle for her.  He gave up his "powder" use, not that he was addicted,  but he enjoyed his recreational drugs. Well goodbye, Elton and your yellow brick road, we won't be partying that way anymore. He no longer was interested in men, though he did think about them from time to time, and thought about her living with him at Garden Lodge and how much fun he would have with her there. And now, a baby added to the mix, his treasures would have to be moved. His home certainly wasn't set up for babies, it would have to be baby-proofed. Garden Lodge actually was more like a museum, but he would do what he has to do to have a family at his home.

Listen, Marvin, Freddie said with an obviously annoyed tone....

"Freddie" Marvin said quietly, as he walked next to him and whispered, "there are security all around you now. No one knows what Prenter is up to and how many spies he has working for him and what resources he has available. We have to be very discreet. Do you see that cleaning lady down the hall and the workman over here changing light bulbs, they're security. We cannot talk for the time being in a public place. Do you understand?"

Freddie stubbed his cigarette out and walked back into Guiliani's office with Marvin

Freddie stubbed his cigarette out and walked back into Guiliani's office with Marvin.

"I'm sorry gentlemen, I have calmed down a lot. Now how do we proceed and what do you need me to do?" Freddie asked.

"Rudy,  when can I see Cynthia?" Freddie asked hopefully.

"Not yet Freddie. What we need for you to do is carry on with your life as normally as possible.  Dinners, clubs, whatever you normally go into. We want Prenter to contact you. We will always be close by, never fear" Said Guiliani.

"Oh, you better let your manager in on this, Miami, I believe is his name?" added Sir Peter.

"What about the band?" Freddie asked, "Are they in danger as well?"

"No, we don't believe so, but you had better apprise them of the situation" said Sir Peter.

"Okay, well, thank you Rudy and  you too Sir Peter. We will get back to the hotel and I will inform the band."

"Freddie?"

"Yes Marvin"

"Listen, I just had a thought. We don't know where Prenter's people are. I was thinking, perhaps leaving the building agitated, and annoyed. Whoever is watching will see that you were dissatisfied with your meeting. What do you think?" asked Marvin

With a slightly perceptible nod, Freddie displayed a mild tantrum as they entered his limo.

"Terry, pass me the car phone you're always talking about. Back to the Waldorf please."

Freddie dialed and said, "Miami, we are coming back, gather the troops."
