They all gathered around the conference table. There was Freddie, Brian, John, Roger, Karen, Rosalie, Ryan and Scot. Dr. Atkinson walked in with a rather distinguished gentlemen and locked the door after them.
"Allow me to introduce the Commissoner of Scotland Yard, Sir Peter Imbert" Dr. Atkinson announced. Sir Peter walked around shaking everyone's hand and sat at the head of the table. The band shot curious looks at one another but waited for Dr. Atkinson so speak. But he didn't, he motioned for Sir Peter Imbert to speak and explain.
Sir Peter opened up a folder of sorts, adjusted his spectacles, read a bit and put the paper down. He clasped his hands, cleared his throat and began.
"It appears we have a class 1 felony perpetrated on one Cynthia Lewis of the United States. Miss Lewis is a prominent American citizen doing business here in England, ostensibly for Elton John and others for an event after Live Aid. Is that correct?" the commisioner asked. The band and crew nodded and affirmed what was said. "All righty" said Sir Peter.
"Miss Lewis is the girlfriend of Freddie Mercury" he stated looking straight at Freddie.
"She's a little more than that, Sir Peter" Freddie answered.
"Well, let's say she is a close friend of Freddie Mercury" as Sir Peter nodded towards Freddie who nodded back. "All righty" said Sir Peter.
"Now it seems that Brian May have hit upon a suggesstion thru deductive reasoning that seems to be spot on."
"We have our very own Sherlock Holmes" Roger chuckled.
Everyone shot glares at Roger who turned beet red and said rather meekly, "sorry."
"Harumph!" said the commissioner
"As I was saying" and he looked sharply at Roger, "Brian May suggested that someone may have given Miss Lewis an injection causing medical coma. This is quite serious as it could be construed as an attempt upon murder or at the least, aggravated assault." This last statement unnerved the table, who would want to kill Cynthia?
"So let's discuss this rationally, and I would like input from all of you" said Sir Peter.
Freddie raised his hand and was immediately acknowledged by the commissioner.
"We now know she was drugged, I'm sure the doctor is analyzing which drug it is. My question is, where on her body was it given? Does it leave a mark or a bruise? How come the nurses checking on her haven't seen any evidence of it?
Dr. Atkinson, coughed and was clearly embarrassed that someone on his staff or the hospital's staff would do something like this. It didn't make sense.
"Freddie, given that the drug was administered by injection and not intravenously, there would most definitely be an area which would show the injection site. A contusion, a raised area, a red mark." Dr. Atkinson said. "Why do you ask?"
"Sir Peter, Dr. Atkinson, please step outside with me for a moment. I want to propose something" Freddie said quietly.
"What is it Freddie" Sir Peter finally called him by his given name.
"We now know that Cynthia has been given the drug, most likely injection. I don't know how to say this exactly, I'm a little embarrassed" Freddie said softly.
"Embarrassed?" Atkinson said smiling.
"Yes. Let me clarify. Cynthia and I are lovers. That is no secret to them as he cocked his head toward the room, and now to you. I know every inch of her body. I would like to check her out rather than have you or some nurse do it. Do you understand that?" Freddie said a little more firmly.
