That was it, lovelies. No more flashbacks. I tried to be as clear as possible, but you know...."Clarity is in the eyes of the reader"(WT10)
July 3, 1985
Cynthia and her team arrived at Heathrow and were greeted by Elton John and his security.
"How was the flight, CL?"
"Good, Elton. I managed to sleep a little so I could start work right away. This will be a massive undertaking, it took a while but finally London!"
Elton said, " I've arranged rooms for you and your team at the Ritz, so we will go there directly and settle you in."
"Great" Cynthia said, "I would love to shower and change clothes."
"Fine, meet me downstairs at 9PM and we will have dinner and I think Mick Jagger will join us."
"Later then, Elton" as Cynthia nodded.
Karen wasn't feeling well after the flight and just wanted to take a shower and go to bed.
Rosalie had a date with Rod Stewart.
Elton watched Cynthia walk away and thought, for some of that, I could be straight for a bit.
At 8:55, Cynthia entered the lobby and saw Freddie leaving with some of his male friends.
Freddie waved to Elton and Mick and left with Paul. She turned so he couldn't see her face but he noticed her body. She was tall, slender but well-toned and had the newest boyish haircut that was the rage. He couldn't see her face but her red hair was familiar and it was disturbing him, but he couldn't place it. He wanted to see her face but Paul badgered him to go, pulling his arm to the exit, a little too firm. They had plans to go to Heaven, a gay club that they had frequented and were running late. It was there that Paul Prenter met Scott and Ryan, Cynthia's assistants.

"CL, over here" Elton called. She turned and saw Elton with Mick Jagger.
"Hi, guys."
"CL, meet Mick Jagger."
"A pleasure Mick"
"You're very beautiful".
"And you are completely charming."
"Shall we eat, I'm simply starving."
After ordering drinks and perusing the menu Elton asks "So, CL, have you given any thought to the event?"
"As a matter of fact Elton, I did."
"I had some time before meeting you so I checked out the hotel. Cynthia said.
In New York, you had mentioned the possibility of having it here at the Ritz." Cynthia said.
"Not a good venue. Firstly, there is no grand ballroom. They don't have a single large room, just many smaller rooms. It's also too elegant, or should I say, stuffy, old world, definitely not rock and roll with the drinking, the drugs and whatever else you guys get into."
Mick cleared his throat and appeared a little annoyed.
"Sorry Mick, this is not an indictment, merely an observation. If I am alone in this, then I apologize."
"No, CL, you're not. You are absolutely right. We'll be very happy to leave it in your expert hands" Elton sighed.
"Hmmm, what about Club Xenon? Very rock and roll, very in and large enough to hold all." Cynthia suggested.
