Third Person View
Nezetta takes in a deep breath. Her fingers carefully tucked the last few buttons of her uniform that she was provided with yesterday, the day before their attack to the Spade Kingdom. She gently braided her hair, leaving only a few strands to gently frame her face as she twisted the braid into a low bun.
On her room's bedside table, Alexandrite sits with a concerned look on his face. They only had two days for her to learn a new aspect of her magic, and chances of her having to use it when facing the Dark Triad is high. He was worried, knowing that Nezetta will do whatever it takes for her to save those she cherish, and she won't even think about the consequences laid upon herself.
"Nezetta," He calls, watching as she takes her grimoire from her study desk to put in its case. She only looked over her shoulder with almost blank eyes staring back at him. "Don't do anything reckless. If the plan to infiltrate and stop the Dark Triad fails, Clover Kingdom will need you."
Nezetta turned back down to the buttons of her coat. "I'd rather not let it come to that point." She said. "I'll go there and defeat the Dark Triad, then stop their plans. I'll do it with every drop of mana I have in my body, and nothing you can say will stop me, Alexandrite."
Her shoulders slumped as she finally turned around to smile at him. "Sorry for making you worry, but William and Yami need me."
"Are they more important than the future?"
She lets out a small chuckle, almost bitter in his ears. "This is the future that we're fighting for." She said softly. "If we fail, who knows what will become of the four kingdoms?"
Alexandrite frowns at her, but flew to sit on her shoulder nonetheless. "If I can't even save them, how could I expect myself to protect an entire kingdom?" She sighed. "I'm pathetic. I can't let any more of my loved ones lose against death. I've had enough."
He can see how her eyes have dulled, her mind running empty. Nezetta was in a state of numbness that not even his persuasion could get through to her. All that she was feeling was fear, not for herself, but for what is to come and for her comrades.
Nezetta was exhausted.
Knock! Knock!
"It's open," she says unenthusiastically, eyes forcing themselves to look up to see who came to visit her.
The door opens to reveal Nebra and Solid, both looking worriedly at her. Because of the Golden Dawn headquarters being destroyed to bits, the surviving members were forced to look for other places to stay for awhile. Nezetta came back to the House Silva during the days she was training, and her elder siblings have seen her training until she passes out. Nebra was the one who would usually take her to her room when Nezetta physically couldn't anymore, as well as giving her proper meals for her to stay healthy.
"Onii-sama told us that you're departing soon. He's waiting for you by the front door." Solid said. "Nezetta, be careful out there."
"I will be, no worries." She forces a smile to at least reassure them that she will give her all in the fight.
"And come home alive." Nebra adds in with a small smile on her face. She plants her hands on the girl's shoulders and gave her a comforting squeeze. "We'll be waiting for your return with Onii-sama and Noelle. Make sure that the three of you come back, alright?"
Nezetta struggled to find a reply, but she opted for a small smile instead and a light nod. "I'll make sure they come back alive." She said. "You two be careful here too. We don't know what else the Spade Kingdom could be planning."
