"Remind me why I'm needed here?"
Nezetta pouts as she followed Yuno to the royal palace, finding it unreasonable for her to assist the Vice Captain of their squad to their sudden meeting with the captains. First of all, she is not a captain, nor is she a vice captain of the Golden Dawn.
Second of all....
There really isn't a second reason. She just found her presence unneeded. Surely, Yuno can walk to the palace on his own. He's not a kid anymore.
"You faced the Dark Triad with Captain Yami, didn't you?" Yuno sighed. "Surely, they will need to know from someone who experienced their power firsthand."
"How convenient," Nezetta's voice was dripping with sarcasm, and Yuno can tell without even having to look back.
He pushes the door open for her, allowing her to enter first before he did so. They made their way through the hallway to the meeting room in complete silence.
That was until Alexandrite and Bell came out of their hoods.
"I can sense that you're quite lazy." Alex says.
"Have you seen her go on missions?" Yuno deadpanned. "It's a surprise she's still alive."
"Am I supposed to be flattered by that, weird hair?"
"Take it however you want, lady royalty."
"They're hopeless." Bell whispers discretely to Alex, who made an expression of realization of what was going on between the two. They helplessly watched their masters bicker as they made their way to the meeting room.
What Bell found odd on every interaction the two would have is Yuno smiling more often than he would allow himself to. He may be closer to the entire Golden Dawn now, but he can still be a little closed off when around certain people.
When with Nezetta, however, it was like he becomes a different person. He's more playful and positive when with her. Sure, he's still the more calm and collected one out of the two, but that only balanced them out.
Besides, Yuno managed to calm Nezetta's rage just awhile ago. She was so close to killing anyone who comes near her when she found their base in ruins. He was the one she would cling on just to keep herself sane, even when she doesn't notice it.
"Why the hell are you laughing? This isn't funny!" Nezetta scowls at the chuckling raven. Yuno finds her angry state quite adorable, which is a solid reason why he loves teasing the young Silva. "Stop laughing. You're going to a meeting soon."
"Fine," Yuno stops his chuckles, but remained softly smiling down at her as they walked. Nezetta rolled her eyes and folded her arms over her chest as they reached the meeting room.
Once again, Yuno opens the door for her to enter first before going inside himself. They see the rest of the captains gathered around the long table with the young version of the Wizard King sitting on his own separate desk. Both Yuno and Nezetta saluted before sitting with the rest of the captains. Well, that goes for Yuno.
Nezetta opted to stand beside his seat since she is not a captain of any squad. She was only here to report what she witnessed.
Julius began the meeting with the report from Black Bulls. However, Nezetta didn't see any representative. Come to think of it, she doubted that they even have a vice captain in the squad. Though, Julius was the one who provided their report.
