38: His Concern

As you may all know, I am following both the manga and anime on this book. Because of the recent change of schedule in releasing manga chapters, I'm having trouble coming up with next chapters to update. Hence, I will be changing my update schedule to weekly instead of daily. I am so sorry for cutting the updates so randomly.

This will be the last chapter to be posted this week. I will update next week on Monday, and that will be my schedule from now on. I really appreciate those of you who continued reading my work since day 1. Thank you so much!

Nezetta's PoV

"With my magic, we'll be able to infiltrate the castle unnoticed." Nacht took the lead on planning for us.

He is the one who is familiar with the Spade Kingdom and the Dark Triad. It will only be reasonable that we listen to him, even if it is in a reluctant way. He is the only one with more knowledge against the devils. Not to mention, he is a devil host himself.

I don't know how long he had been infiltrating the Spade Kingdom, but I do know that Yami chose him for a reason. Though it may be simply because he needed a Vice Captain, I'm sure he sees potential in all of his members.

The Black Bulls are incredibly strong.

It was just masked behind their violent and stagnant behavior.

"Then, we'll storm the Dark Triad and take them out separately." Nacht presses on with informing us about the Dark Triad. "Dante has Gravity and Body Magic. Vanica has Curse-warding and Blood Magic. The one with the Spatial and Bone Magic, is Zenon."

My grip on my folded arms tightened when he mentioned Zenon. He was the one who wiped out the Golden Dawn when I wasn't even there to fight alongside them. He will surely pay for what he's done.

"However, my magic won't let me take a crowd along. I'll need to choose the individuals who have the greatest chance of winning." Nacht chuckled. "Asta and Nezetta aside."

"Haw! Obviously, you're gonna choose from among us captains!" Jack says.

Yuno suddenly stands from his seat and faced Nacht. "Let me go, please." He said. "I know that it's insolent of me to ask, but I'm begging you!"

He must be feeling vengeful now that William is in danger. I couldn't blame him. I feel exactly the same.

"Huh? Are you an idiot?! You already lost once! There's no way he's taking you!" Jack yells from his seat.

"Yuno, we do understand, but remaining here and defending the Clover Kingdom is an important mission." Fuegoleon says.

"There is something I want to ask you." Nacht smiled at my Vice Captain. "There are resistance forces in the Spade Kingdom that oppose the Dark Triad. The other day, one of their members came to the Clover Kingdom in secret. I believe that he's at your place now, isn't he? Who exactly are you?"

There is no doubt that he was suspecting Yuno as an accomplice.

"I'm told," Yuno paused. "That I'm a Spade Kingdom Prince."

I choked on my own saliva at the revelation. My eyes practically fell out their sockets too. I looked up to see him answering Nacht in all seriousness. There was not a dash of joking in his words either.

"A SPADE KINGDOM PRINCE?!" Asta screams.

"Yeah, apparently, they evacuated me to the Clover Kingdom when the rebellion against the royal family broke out."
