Nezetta's PoV

Nothing really sparked up that involves the Diamond Kingdom yesterday when I was taking first shift, so I expected the same when Yuno switched shifts with mine during midnight.

I did not expect to be woken up so harshly.

Yuno was shaking my shoulders a little too forcefully, and I greeted him with a punch to the face with my eyes flaring in anger. "What the hell do you want?!"

One thing to know is that I don't like being woken up form a peaceful sleep.

Yuno scowls at me and pointed behind him with his thumb. I stood up from my sitting position on the watchtower and immediately felt the mana coming from our left. I looked over her shoulder and saw a swarm heading our way.

"Three of the Eight Shining Generals." I hummed. "Looks like the Purple Orcas are defending. I'll contact Captain Vangeance."

I take out my communicator from my belt and pressed on the button. "Captain Vangeance, am I reaching?"

"Zetta?"

"Three of the Eight Shining Generals are invading Kiten, Captain. The Purple Orcas are currently defending. We're a little far away from where they are."

"Looks like they are attacking. I'm gathering the rest of the Golden Dawn. Assist the Purple Orcas, take down a general or two while at it."

I laughed, he really knows me too well. "You got it." I ended the transmission and turned to Yuno. "You heard him."

"The generals broke the barrier." He points nonchalantly to where the Purple Orcas were putting up a barrier.

I saw the mages firing all at once at the villages, triggering my hands before I could think. "Crystal Creation Magic: Reflect."

Crystals accurately pinpointed the direction of each attack spell and reflected it back to the enemy the moment it bounces from the surface of my magic. "If you want to take down one of the generals, feel free to do so. I'm going to help the citizens evacuate first."

"Don't tell Yuno what to do!"

Looks like the little fairy's awake now.

"I was making him do whatever he wants, blondie." I click my tongue out at her before zipping away from the watchtower. My figure left a trail of light as I gathered as many citizens as I could at a short amount of time. For now, I can't do anything but keep them away from the fight, so I will find the least dangerous place for now.

I stopped running around when my hands were completely full, putting the children to the northern part of the town where debris and mages haven't touched yet. One of them is crying, so I gently patted his head and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, they'll be gone in no time." I said.

"My mother," he cried. "She's still there."

"Hmm? Is that so?" I looked over my shoulder while still patting his head. "I'll go and find her. Is it okay if you and your friends stay put here?"

"Y-yes, ma'am."

Smiling, I zapped away from the children and gathered the adults next. There were only a few in distress, now that our squad arrived faster than I anticipated them to. I immediately took the adults where I once put the children and reunited them.

My eyes could only see a glimpse of the little kid I was comforting smiling through his tears when his mother came to hug him before I charged right into battle. I pulled out my sword from my grimoire, defeating as many mages as I could meet while speedily charging towards one of the generals.
