24: Strength of a Brigade

Third Person View

If they thought that having more than half of their group be possessed by elves was the worst that could happen, they never anticipated this.

Her figure stands tall in front of them, her lips forming into a sinister smirk that easily sent shivers down their spine. Her blades shimmered under the moonlight, enveloped by her powerful mana that overwhelmed the royal knights.

"It can't be," Mimosa gasps.

Her cheeks had the same red markings as Yuno had, only having a different pattern.

"Nezetta-san," Noelle gritted her teeth together. "H-how..."

"Nezetta?" She laughed, looking down at her Forbidden Armor. "You mean this royal's body? I have to admit, it disgusts me having to be reborn with a royal as my vessel."

She stabs both light and dark swords on the ground. "But it seems like we can't have a royal like her take your side. Things won't go according to plan if she's here."

Yuno stomps out of the booth that was healing him. "Spirit Magic: Spirit Storm!"

Nezetta's hand effortlessly picked up her dark sword and sucked the spell inside. Nozel looks at Mereleona still knocked out, gritting his teeth together.

"Everyone who is injured, get back. Nezetta has destructive power that could kill us all!" He commands. "En, you make sure they're safe."

They immediately backed away and left the matter to those who were barely injured. Yuno forced himself standing between Nozel and Noelle, who were ready to fight Nezetta with Zora and Asta.

"That body is my sister's! I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Noelle says boldly, pointing her wand right at her own blood.

"Bring back Nezetta now, or feel our wrath." Nozel taunts.

"There's no Nezetta walking this world anymore." She laughed. "Luffa is here."

Asta lets out a battle cry and faced her head on, slamming his sword down to her figure. He was blocked by her swords crossed together and pushing him away successfully, throwing him back to the air. He catches himself on his feet immediately and landed safely.

"Her swords didn't shatter?"

"Anti-magic isn't working against her." Yuno mutters.

"Seems like this body is cursed. How convenient." Nezetta—Luffa—laughed. "She's already strong and quick-witted without her curse's powers. How could a human be granted such magic?"

Yuno's eyes widened.

He didn't know that Nezetta was cursed, and it seems like Noelle didn't know it either despite being the closest sibling to Nezetta. Nozel, however, remains impassive and summoned silver swords to charge right at her.

Luffa deflects them easily and used her wings to propel herself in the air. "Dark Crystal Creation Magic: Dance of the Crystal Phoenix."

A multi-colored phoenix with hints of black came charging down at the group. They instantly jumped away in all directions to dodge it themselves. "Dark Crystal Creation Magic: Spider Web!"

As strings came from the back of her palm and tried to capture all of them, Yuno managed to anticipate the attack and dodged it. "It was slower than how Nezetta really summons it." He thought. "Is it because Luffa is unfamiliar with Nezetta's magic?"

"Onee-chan! Snap out of it!" Noelle yelled as she stood atop a tree branch. "I don't want to hurt you!"

"Dark Crystal Magic: Meteor Shower." Luffa points at Noelle's direction with her dark sword, expecting that the spell will be cast the moment she says it. Though, her expectations didn't meet reality. Nothing was casted.
