"Ara? Ushijima-San?"
"Oh Dazai-San."
"You also go on morning jogs?" Y/N asks as she met Ushijima near the gates. He was dressed up in running gear and so was she.
"It helps with stamina."
"I see. Well I'll be going ahead then, see you later." Y/N smiles as she tries her shoelaces properly and walks away.
Ushijima bad no idea what came over him but at that moment he was overcome by a sudden impulse to call her. And that calling her from behind was something that he never regretted.
"Dazai-San."
"Yes?" Y/N asked looking over her shoulder, the sun rays hitting her black hair and making her green eyes sparkle.
"Would you like to join me today?"
"Sure."
Running with Ushijima wasn't as awkward as Y/N thought it would be. Instead she was able to keep up with him even though it had been awhile since they started running.
Ushijima, unknownst to Y/N, would glance at Y/N from time to time, as if on instinct. Something about her made him want to know her more. There was a strange mysterious air that shrouded her. Ushijima didn't like things that were difficult for him to understand.
This applies to the Karasuno #10 as well. However, in Y/N's case he actually wanted to figure her out. He wanted to know why she was always running off or why she was so secretive. It had been only a day since they met her but it felt as if she knew them for a long time.
Tendou and her found similar favourites in manga and anime. Shirabu had ended up being her partner for practicing sets. Goshiki and the other First Years were teased by her but no one could bring themselves to be upset at her when she would laugh or have that twinkle in her green eyes.
Semi and her found music to be their connecting bond. Somehow the two of them had found hobbies of the same nature and had spent the majority of last night, when Semi had showed her, her dorm room, talking with her about music and instruments.
Even the Third and Second Years had taken a liking to her, alas he, himself hadn't a chance to speak with her or get to know her. She was like a mystery. And whereas Ushijima didn't like mystery, he was interested to know her.
"Do you have any favourite type of food, Dazai-San?"
"You took me by surprise by the sudden question, Ushijima-San. Yes, I like popsicles a lot if I may say so." Y/N chuckled as Ushijima frowned.
"Popsicles aren't food. They might make you sick if you have too much." Ushijima said it so seriously that Y/N had a small smile on her face.
"Yes indeed. Say, Ushijima-San. Do you think being kind is better or is being smart better?" Y/N asked, yet one of her trick questions.
