I wandered the empty hallways.
Itwas lunch and everyone was either in the cafeteria or outside. I tugged my long sleeves and passed by the first year hallway when my eyes caught sight of a familiar class.
Class 1-3
Last year me and Yū were in this class. I walk inside and stand in the empty classroom. I remember when during breaks me and Nishinoya would sit here and talk about volleyball, life and joke around. I smile bitterly at this memory.
I trail my fingers over where we once sat. I stand a little longer by Nishinoya's desk and let out a breathe. I walk out the class and keep exploring through the halls.
What happened to us Yū?
My footsteps echoe through the silent halls. The match with Aoba Josai was the day after tomorrow. With steady steps I head towards the gym. I hear the sound of balls hitting the floor when I stand near the door. I open it to see Hinata and Kageyama practicing. Seeing me they stopped.
"Ah Y/N-San. Did you need something?" Hinata asks as Kageyama greets me.
"Not exactly. I thought that I would practice my spikes but Sugawara isn't here so–"
"I–I can set for you if you want Y/N-San!" Kageyama exclaims with the Volleyball in his hands. I was a bit surprised but I nodded with a smile.
"Sure Kageyama."
"Thank you." Kageyama says shyly.
"Uwaaah I get to see Y/N-san spike! I bet it goes whoosh and Pow!" Hinata says excitedly. I can't help but shake my head in amusement.
"Okay. Ready when you are." I say and head to my place.
"Uh Y/N-san you are wearing skirt, are you sure you want to jump?" Kageyama asks a bit concerned.
"You do realise that I wear tights underneath right?" I chuckle
"Ah sorry. Okay, ready?" Je says embarrassed.
"Its fine. Okay then let's do this." I close my eyes and blow a slow, deep breathe. I can feel my aura change and I run backwards a bit. I look forward and get into a running stance. Kageyama flinched at the sudden change in my aura.
"Kageyama I like my sets to be very high and very fast." I say seriously very well knowing about his prodigy abilities.
"A-Ah yes!" He nods. He sets the ball and I run with hands drawn back. In one moment I was running and the second the I jumped almost higher than the net and spiked the ball. Kageyama and Hinata flinched from the sound of the ball hitting my palm and then hitting the floor.
"T-That was amazing! You went Pow! And then Woosh and then Boom!" Hinata says as Kageyama stares in wonder at me.
"Yeah. I guess I did. Anyways listen, Kageyama. Your set was good but remember that not everyone will always have the time to tell you what kind of set they prefer. So remember to ask Okay?" I smiled at the boy. We did this a few times before I left for the Music Club.
