The gym was being cleaned up as everyone helped. Y/N was putting the basket of balls in the equipment room when Kageyama held onto two pieces of a broken mop.
(for the plot some things will change)
"Sugawara-San shouldn't we throw this away? Someone might get hurt."
"A-Ah it's fine. Just leave it be." Sugawara takes the mop from him and holds it in his hand as Kageyama gave a questioning look to him. Y/N quietly stares at the broken mop in his hands. Sugawara gives a sad look to it and says making Kageyama confused.
"If we can repair it.... we can use it again." He says as Y/N walks out the room. Daichi notices her walking out her bangs covering her eyes. He sighs at the girl and walks to Sugawara. The two of them share a look of sadness as the events of that night left an imprint on everyone.
"I never thought one match would tear everything like this." Daichi says as he stares at Y/N quietly putting on her jacket.
"I know things will be back to it how it was. I just know it." Sugawara smiles before running towards Hinata and Kageyama who again began fighting.
"Oi you guys stop!"
Sugawara locked up the gym and walked over towards the team who were standing near the gates.
"Sorry did you wait long?"
"No it's fine. Let's go."
They stood outside the Foothill store waiting for Tanaka, Hinata and Kageyama to come out. Y/N had her headphones on leaning against the wall. The others who didn't go in the store were talking and discussing about things or about today's match.
"Say Kageyama why are you at Katasuno?" Tanaka asked as the other males also looked at the raven haired male who was eating his food.
Y/N closed her eyes as she let out a deep breathe as everyone was surprised to know that Kageyama didn't get in Shiratorizawa. Tsukishima snickered at the fact that Kageyama wasn't smart enough to be enrolled in Shiratorizawa.
They then began to talk about Old Coach Ukai and the Guardian Deity. That was also when Kageyama talked about the team's Ace and Libero. Tanaka and the Third Years explained that when they come back, Hinata should call the Guardian Deity senpai. They joked around as Y/N silently stood there.
Unknown to the others, Y/N was going over the memories of the night of the incident. Still today he could remember every single word he said. The hatred in his eyes. The venom in his voice.
"This is your fault! You joined us saying you can't play but now you outshine everyone! Because of you those words were heard by Asahi! You are the reason he left!" He shouts in anger. Everyone watched him shocked. Daichi and Sugawara walk close to them.
"Nishinoya you don't mean that." Daichi says.
"Yu what are you-"
"I hate you! I hate how you smile like everything is alright! I hate how Asahi was compared to someone like you! I hate that Sugawara had to lie to you just so you weren't sad! It pisses me off!"
