Sofia's anxiety was visible as she rushed around her dorm the next morning getting ready for her date with Bransen. A cigarette hung from her lips the whole time, the ash growing from her lack of actually hitting it.
She looked in the mirror once again, making sure her hair was even, fixing her sun dress, and fixing the cuffs of the jean jacket that Lily had lended her.
She quickly threw a pair of white flats on, and her hands ran through her hair, but not rough enough to mess her hair up.
Sofia decided that she should just get down to the common room 20 minutes early. She had skipped breakfast that morning, a decision she started to regret due to how much her stomach was churning at the moment. She felt like she could vomit.
She sprayed some perfume on, and walked quickly out the dorm. As she stepped down the steps that lead to the common room, she spotted some of her friends sitting by the fireplace. Neville looked at her, and his eyes widened slightly.
She looked so beautiful to him. The most gorgeous thing he had ever seen. Bransen didn't deserve her.
Lily whipped her head around as Lily stepped into the common room from the steps, "Look at you!" She jumped up from Dean's lap, and ran over to Sofia. "You look gorgeous."
Sofia smiled at her, "Thanks to you."
Lily smiled and moved some hair out of Sofia's face, and quickly making some minor adjustments to her outfit.
"Lily, it's fine..." Sofia sighed as Lily continued to straighten out her dress on the bottom.
"Okay, okay..."
Lily then realized she had almost forgot to give Sofia something she had thought of that morning.
"Here, put this on." Lily handed Sofia a tube of lipstick and smirked at her as the anxious girl slowly took it from her hands.
Sofia took the cap off, and her eyebrows raised.
"A bit bright for me, don't you think?"
Lily laughed, "No, not at all. You'll look hot! I wouldn't give you my favorite tube of lipstick if I didn't think it would look good on you."
Sofia nervously started to apply it, just trusting her muscle memory hoping the lipstick wouldn't smudge on her chin.
"See? Told you! You look hot!" Lily gave her a thumbs up.
"My Mum always told me a woman's outfit is never complete without a some bright red lipstick,"
Sofia laughed at Lily's reminiscing of her mother.
Seamus glanced over at Neville, who hadn't taken his eyes off Sofia since she appeared in the room. Neville was thinking about how beautiful Sofia looked, and his plan for the day.
"You alright, Neville?" Seamus asked him. Finally, Neville turned his away from the girl, and just simply nodded in response at his friend's question.
Seamus didn't want to push, knowing exactly what Neville was thinking.
Sofia and Lily made their way to the boys once again, and Lily took her place back on Dean's lap. Sofia sat beside both of them,
"You look nice, Sofia." Dean complimented her, and Sofia smiled at him. "Thanks, Dean."
Sofia looked over at Neville, who was still staring at her. She realized she had been rude to him yesterday, and started to ponder on if she should apologize to him or not.
"Are you okay, Neville?" Sofia asked him, as she noticed he looked tired.
"A bit tired," he responded immediately, as if he had been waiting for her to speak to him. As if he had depended on it.
