The morning sun seemed to arise violently into the dormitories that morning. Even students who had passed out in the common room from their drunken state the night before groaned as they woke up. Angelina Johnson sat up, realizing that she had been curled up against the sofa next to her friend.

"Gross..." she muttered as she sniffed herself.

Just upstairs in Sofia's dorm, the girl's eyes fluttered open. She covered her eyes in an attempt to block the bright light that was coming through her window, but to no avail, her vision still blurred. Her eyes teared up, and she groaned in aggravation.

Something than hit her,

Neville. Neville was here.

When she turned her body to reach out to him in an attempt to warm herself up, her palm met her own cold, empty sheets.

"Neville..." she whispered, somehow expecting him to be beside her. But, as her eyes finally fully fluttered open, and her vision cleared, she realized that he wasn't there.

The girl lifted her head up, her hair sticking out from every which way from her tossing and turning. She looked around the room, and met eyes with Ginny. She was hanging up clothes in her closet, humming a childhood song that Molly had sung to her when she was a toddler.

Ginny heard the sheets shuffling, and turned her head. Seeing Sofia's disheveled state made her chuckle,

"Morning, sunshine. How'd you sleep?"

Sofia's head fell back onto her pillow, still trying to retrace memories of the night before. "Great. You?"

"Better than most," Ginny responded, obviously referring to all of her fellow Gryffindor party goers.

Sofia decided to sit up fully, just in case her body decided that sleep was more of a priority. She looked around the room, still hoping that Neville would maybe come out from somewhere.

But, he never did.

"Longbottom left earlier. I had to help him find his clothes,"

Clothes? Oh, right. Neville got too drunk so Sofia had to take care of him.

"Thanks for letting me know..." Sofia muttered, rubbing her eyes and letting own a roaring yawn.

"He seemed a bit... off. He definitely had a hangover, though. He asked me why his head was hurting so bad."

Sofia nodded, only expecting that same scenario to play out.

"W-W-Where is he?"

Ginny shrugged, "I suppose he went back to his dorm. Lily never came back last night, I suppose her and Dean—well... you know."

Sofia nodded again, also remembering the kiss that Lily and Dean had shared.

"And Hermione?" Sofia asked,

"She left to go to the library just before you woke up."

Sofia forced herself out of bed, and made her way over to her closet to change into something comfortable. She did not feel like wearing anything too dressy, considering it was cold, plus, she just didn't feel like it. It was only Sunday as well, she didn't have anything to do.

Ginny and Sofia continued to chatter about last night's events, and Sofia finished her morning routine with a cigarette.

"Have your parents written to you?" Ginny asked her, even though she wasn't aware of Sofia's current circumstances.

Sofia nodded as put her cigarette out on the concrete on the window,

"Yeah. They didn't really tell me anything new..."
