A few weeks went by, and Sofia and Neville had barely spoken to each other. This was taking a huge toll on Sofia, who missed him more than she could've ever thought she would. She saw him taking to a girl one day, and her stomach churned in jealousy. Sofia was petrified that Neville hated her, and that's why they weren't speaking. She didn't have the courage to go up to him whatsoever.

Neville on the other hand, his world has been flipped upside down. Nothing seemed to make sense to him anymore. He would watch over Sofia from afar, too afraid to tell her how much he missed her. One time in those few weeks, he saw that she had fallen asleep in the common room while studying. He packed all of her things up in her bag, and carried her to her dorm once again. Making sure to bring his wand and use it to his advantage. He would make sure to send her little signs that he still was there. When she couldn't find a pencil one day during one of their shared classes, he slid one in front of her without her even noticing. He would make sure she had what she needed.

The weather became a bit more chillier than usual, due to the middle of October approaching. There soon was no recollection that Summer or Spring made it's way through Hogwarts.

It was Friday afternoon, and Sofia was in the Great Hall with her friends. Neville say quietly as he stared at Sofia from across the table.

"Hey, you lousy bitches!" Lily jokingly greeted everyone, taking her assigned seat next to Dean. Lily would always make sure that people knew she had entered a room.

"So, how do you girls feel about going to that Ravenclaw party tomorrow night?" she asked her girlfriends, who sat across from her. And Sofia of course, who sat beside her.

"You're definitely going. No questions asked," Lily randomly said, pointing over to Sofia. Sofia threw her hands up, and looked over at Ginny with a confused face.

"Do I get no say in my own schedule? Maybe I'm doing something tomorrow, Lily. You ever think about that?"

Lily laughed as she put food on the plate in front of her,

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot. You're going to stay up in the dorm all night wallowing in homework again. Is that right?"

Sofia's face fell into a guilty one,

"That's exactly what I thought."

Hermione decided to interject, "You know, Sof—I'm actually on Lily's side here. We should all go together. It could be fun."

Hermione's statement earned stranger looks from the two boys that sat beside her.

"Hermione Granger willingly going to a party? I think she's officially broke, Harry..." Ron joked, as usual, stuffing his mouth with food.m

Lily laughed at Ron's statement and turned to Sofia.

"Pleaseee, Sof. Just do this one thing. I will never ask you to do anything for me ever again. You can wear whatever you want out of my closet!" Lily's hands clasped together, pleading with Sofia just to go out with her.

Sofia sighed and flipped her hair back. She eyed Hermione and Ginny, who weren't saying otherwise to Lily's pleas.

"Fine... I'll go."

"Yes!" Lily reached over and high fived Ginny, who seemed to be aware of the party as well.

"Well, in that case, I should go with you guys just to make sure Lily doesn't make a fool out of herself. Last time she got so messed up and almost stripped in front of our whole Year." Dean retorted, making Sofia snort with laughter.

"I suppose I'll join. I've been hearing about it all day. Seems like it's going to be quite a gathering," Seamus added.

There was silence for a moment, until someone's voice spoke up.

"I'll go."

Everyone looked over, and Neville sat there with a shy look on his face.

"Are you sure, mate? Parties aren't really your... thing." Dean was checking just to make sure Neville wasn't making any stupid decisions. "Why not? I don't have anything else to do," Neville replied, making Sofia's insides warm.

"Ron, Harry?" Dean asked the two boys who were carrying on with their own conversation. They both nodded their heads at the offer.

"Oh, so I guess we're all going! Which—I suppose I never really expected but—the more the merrier!" Lily's tone kept dropping throughout her sentence, like she was contemplating on something.

"Poor little Sof's skinny body probably won't be able to handle all the alcohol!" Seamus joked, taking a sip from whatever was in his cup.

"It's a good thing I'm not planning on drinking, then!"

"Rubbish! You're drinking!" Lily argued, slapping Sofia's arm.

Sofia shook her head no,

"Oh Merlin, Sof. You don't have to drink that much! Don't be the lame girl who shows up to a party and just stands in a corner the whole time. Plus... aren't Americans supposed to know how to party? Lily smirked over at her towards the end of her sentence.

"Yeah, and the last time I got drunk I almost got a concussion and eaten by a gator!" Sofia thought back to the beginning of Summer, when some old friends of hers dared her to jump into the lake near the location of the party. Of course, Sofia obliged due to her lack of critical lack of thinking from the alcohol.

"I need to hear this story!" Lily was intrigued by Sofia's rebuttal.

And, Sofia started telling some of the group about her first party experience just a few months ago.

As she went into detail about the scenario, Neville kept his eyes glued onto her. He listened intently, making sure to mentally note things she would do when she was under the influence. He wanted to watch out for her when he went tomorrow. That was truly the only reason why he was even going, anyways.

Neville was never much of party person, so it was great that no one ever put in effort to invite him to one. But, this time was different. He had a reason to go. A reason that was making him go.

It was always Sofia.

The school day soon ended, and everyone rushed back to their common rooms and waited for dinner.

Sofia was up in her dorm, studying and doing some weekend homework.

During this time, she would always think of Neville. The void in her body only grew as each day of them with no conversation went by.

It was painstakingly obvious that Neville had missed her as well, but even though Sofia was pretty aware of the things that went on around her, she could be pretty dunce at times.

Neville needed her to know that he missed her way more than she could ever possibly imagine missing him. He wanted her to know that he dreamed of her every night, when he could actually sleep of course. He wanted her to know that his thoughts were consumed by her.

This was killing the both of them.
