Jimin stirred awake from his sleep, rubbing his eyes as he adjusted to the light source coming from the lightbulb on the ceiling.

Sitting up, Jimin found Jungkook sitting at the table with his hands in his hair and his head lowered in between his arms. Jimin couldn't see his face and he also didn't see Taehyung at all or none of Jungkook's friends. It was just Jimin and Jungkook.

Jimin let out a small sigh of relief. It was all a dream, he said to himself as he recalled himself fainting after seeing Taehyung.

"Jungkook?" Jimin called out softly as he stood up from his couch and slowly approached his boyfriend.

Lifting his gaze, Jungkook stared at Jimin through his tearful gaze. "Jimin, you're awake," he said wiping away the tears from his eyes.

"Why are you crying?" Jimin asked worriedly. He outstretched his arm to wipe away the tears that Jungkook missed, but instead, his hand was pushed away.

Jimin frowned and attempted to try again, but Jungkook shook his head and once again pushed Jimin's hand away. "I'm crying because you hurt me. Taehyung told me what happened."

Jimin felt his entire body freeze and panic settle in as he stared fearfully at Jungkook. It wasn't a dream.

"Why did you do it?" Jungkook asked. "Why did you pretend to be my friend and date me if your intentions were to date Taehyung?"

Jimin let out a shaky breath as he attempted to keep his emotions composed. He took the empty seat beside Jungkook before he began to explain. "Taehyung was my best friend, but after the first year students party, I thought Taehyung and I could be more. As you know, you caught us in the bathroom together."

Jungkook nodded. "Taehyung explained that part," he said, not wanting to hear that Jimin sucked of his boyfriend at that time again.

"Well, because of what happened in the bathroom, Taehyung and I started to hook up more. That's where I thought I was falling for him. I wanted to date him, but he was dating you. I pretended to be your friend to try to break you two apart because I was growing impatient that Taehyung hadn't broken up with you."

"Did you ever love him?" Jungkook asked.

Jimin shook his head. "No, I confused my feelings for lust."

"Is that what also happened with me?"

"Jungkook," Jimin softly spoke reaching out to hold Jungkook's hand. "I know that what I did was wrong, but I learned to love you. Ever since you cried to me in the bathroom after seeing and hearing Taehyung for the first time since your break up, I began to fall for you. I wanted to hold you, protect you and comfort you because I really did love you."'

"If you would have really loved me, you wouldn't have tried to comfort me with a lie," said Jungkook, pulling his hand away from Jimin's hold. "You should have told me the truth."

Jimin swallowed the pain he felt after Jungkook pulled his hand away from his. "I didn't want to hurt you."

"Look where it got me!" Jungkook shouted, sounding frustrated and hurt. Jimin looked startled from his sudden outburst so Jungkook took a shaky breath before composing himself, not wanting to shout again. "I was heartbroken because Taehyung broke up with me and I thought you were my friend, but the truth was, you were causing me more pain without me realizing it."

"I cut things off with Taehyung after realizing my feelings for you," Jimin attempted to defend himself. "I did it after our dance performance together because I didn't want to keep hurting you."
