I'm back at the Slytherin table, smiling around me, taking in everything. Draco and Theo, bickering about who knows what, sit across from Blaise and I.
Draco's feet tangle with mine under the table, slightly stomping on my foot as if we were twelve again.
I've been pushing down the fact Draco is lying to me about something, for two weeks. Not wanting to ruin this burst of happiness that I have a regular friend group.
Not a friend group, that I always felt left out of.An outsider.
Pansy sits next to Theo staring at Draco, almost drooling, not knowing he had me whimpering by his touch in an empty classroom not even forty minutes ago.
As all of us had realized Pansy had suspected something, we were all careful. Draco and I, not as careful as we should be, but he only acted colder toward me after...
As if it cancels out any suspicion.
"Y/n," Harry's unapproved voice appears over my shoulder, "We want to talk about break. At our table, that is."
Theo rolls his eyes at Harry, "We are so going to court for full custody." He says to everyone around us. Third and fourth years nod, desperately wanting acceptance in the group. Seventh years, Pansy and her minions, grimace.
Blaise almost doubles over at that, "Oh definitely. The dads treat her better anyways."
Harry hides his annoyance with a sarcastic tone, "Are you implying Ron, Hermione, and I are the mother?"
"No doubt about it," I say standing, releasing my legs with Draco, who sighs.
I press my hands on Harry's chest, turning him away.
I sit with Harry, smiling around me.
Only Hermione smiles back.
"How is your new group?" Ron says blandly.
"Wonderful, actually." I say, sighing at the new found tension.
"I, Y/n, am happy you are finally friends with Slytherin. You almost look like a Slytherin now, too." Hermione smiles at me.
I draw back, "What do you mean that I 'look' like a Slytherin now?"
"Well, we always pictured you as a Gryffindor. Even you thought the Hat made a mistake, I mean, you're way too nice to be a Slytherin." Ron says chewing.
My face drops. I've always been a Slytherin, whether I like it or not. Maybe I've wished the hat made a mistake, but I know who I am. Blaise has been one of the funniest, welcoming person I've ever met.
"I- I don't understand."
Harry's hand reaches mine as my legs and hands shake. I move away from him.
"So break? At the burrow, Ron?" Harry says, changing the topic.
Ron nods his head, "Yes, Mum misses all of you greatly." He pauses looking directly at me, "Fred asks about you often, Y/n."
I move in my seat, gazing to the Slytherin table. Draco's eyes meet mine before turning away to Blaise. I completely forgot about having to face Fred, after Harry.
"Oh, well I miss him a lot. We were always really close until he left." I say nodding my head.
"I always thought you both were going to get together, I would never let him, but I mean now you're sleeping with Harry." Ron says smirking at both of us, resulting to both of us moving away from each other even farther, pushing me into Katie Bell.
