I left the library annoyed. I left him speechless, that's a first. He usually always has something to say. Maybe I hadn't given him enough time to talk back.
He was sitting so close to me. His hot breath almost a whisper against my neck. His cold hand had brushed against my leg at least twice, obviously not on purpose but still.
Why does my stomach flip just by thinking about it? He wouldn't hurt me in the library so that mustn't be it. Why was I so nervous?
I get to the common room without bumping into anyone, and hurry to my dorm. Why do I sit there and let him play me like that.
I lay on my bed face up and stare at the ceiling. I remember last night and feel the bruise on my arm. I wish I could talk to Hermione, but she would never approve of my problems with Draco.
I feel a jolt of guilt remembering I'm not the only person he's bullied over the years.
He loves spitting nasty things at her.
I quickly sit up remembering about my study date with Zabini.
Is it even a date? Were we actually going to study? I hadn't thought we would do anything until Draco mentioned something.
I've only ever hooked up with Harry. It was a mistake. We both drank too much at a party and ended up in his dorm with him taking my virginity the morning after.
We never thought of it as romantic, but it happened more than once until we both shut it down because it was affecting our friend group too much. Just sneaking around isn't my cup of tea.
I never got how the rest of the Golden Trio realized. The Slytherin's knew. It made them hate me even more.
Does Zabini want to hook up? He's Draco's best friend. I'm not much a hook up girl at all, but at the chance of making Draco jealous seemed fun.
Wait. No.
I can't use Blaise Zabini. It's wrong.

I was almost late to the room of requirement. I rush out of the common room with my books in my hands. I slam into Pansy as I turn the corner.
"Oh my god, watch where you're going mudblood!" Her ugly voice shrieks.
I grab my book from the ground, "Parkinson. Hi. Listen, I would love to chat but unfortunately I need to-"
"Oh, like you have somewhere to be." She scoffs loudly, probably trying to gain more attention.
I can see the door to the room of requirement. Then I hear loud footsteps behind me.
"Y/n?" Blaise's voice approaches me.
"Oh hi Zabini, I don't have my defence of the dark arts book. I was hoping we could share?" I turn my body to him and smile feeling Pansy glaring at me.
"Of course-" He starts.
Pansy turns to Blaise, "Blaisey don't tell me your studying with her."
"It's Blaise. Pansy I've told you this," He grabs my arm and I hold my breath at the touch, "Can we go now or is there some type of secret password to get through this, um wall?"
He laughs as he motions the line of her friend standing behind her. Pansy hurries away by his statement.
We sit at a cold wood table and set down our books.
"Hey Y/n, listen I'm really sorry if I ever said anything to you over the years-"
"It's fine I swear." I looked into his eyes and smile. Nothing was fine about the way Slytherin has bullied me over the years.
He gets out his books and a quill. He asks me about my home life, which gets awkward since I'm a muggle blood and since I would rather not talk about it.
I ask him how his home life is. He tells me how when he isn't at the Malfoy manner, he's at his mother's manor. He says that he tries to spend as much time away from home as he can.
After awhile we both can't make eye contact without laughing. I don't know how it got there but we couldn't stop laughing over Dumbledore's name.
Every few seconds I would get scared if Dumbledore would show up to hex us both.
"Thank you for studying with me, Y/n. It really helped a lot." He said standing up.
"Of course it was a lot of fun, really." I look down and smile. Maybe this year will be different if I have at least one Slytherin friend.
I felt his hand grab one of my textbooks at the same time as he does. I let go and grab a different book trying to avoid an awkward goodbye.
"Again, thank you, Zabini."
"My pleasure, Y/n." The words roll off his tongue so lowly it surprises me, but when I look up to in question he does something that surprises me a lot more.
When his lips meet mine I almost pull away. I've only kissed two other men in my life Harry and Fred Weasley. Both in completely different ways.
Kissing Harry was kissing him with no feelings. We kissed each other for it always to lead to something more.
Kissing Fred however... I kissed Fred to get as close to him as I could. We never kissed for it to lead to anything because he never moved it to anything more.
Now kissing Blaise, it's unfamiliar. We are kissing for neither of the things. It awkward but nice.
Blaise's fingers interlace with my hair in the back of my head and just as I seen to be kissing back he pulls away.
"Do you want me to walk you back to the common room?"
My cheeks burn. "It's fine. I'll see you tomorrow at breakfast."
I just need a moment alone for my brain to catch up on everything. I just kissed Blaise Zabini. A Slytherin and Draco Malfoy's, possibly the worst person in the world, bestfriend.
I hear the door close and run my hand over my hair. We didn't hook up like Draco said, but after that I wish we did.
Not because I want that with him, but because this feels like a lot more like a real date. Is he going to ask me out again?
"It's almost like you've never been kissed before."
The sound of Draco Malfoy's voice echos throughout the room.
