Yuna's Point of View

WHILE sitting on my designated airplane seat, I lifted the window shades to catch a glimpse of the world under me.

A canopy of dazzling stars appeared in the midst of the ocean of darkness. Some were dull, just sometimes flashing into existence, but there were enough glittering stars to brighten the dark, moonless night.

“Where's my coffee?”

I shouted to my maid.

“It's here ma'am.” She hurriedly replied while holding a tray, I took a cup of coffee from it and slowly tasted it.

I raised my eyebrow because of frustration. This isn't my favorite flavor!

“Wait, don't you recognize me? You've given me the wrong flavor of coffee. Take it again; it should have a dark chocolate flavor!” I exclaimed.

“M-My apologies—”

“No. I will never forgive you, just go! Aish! You're irritating me!” I exclaimed again. Dali-dali naman siyang umalis sa harapan ko. That freak is getting on my nerves.

“Yuna, your dad is sleeping. Don't make him mad, okay?” My mom stated. My eyebrows meet.

“Don't care. Hey. Why it took you so long?” I shouted again to my maid.

“M-Ma'am, here's your favorte coffee.” Sulpot nito sabay abot, masama ko naman siyang tiningnan at kinuha ito.

“You're fired!” I vented. I'm sipping my coffee.

“M-Ma'am...” Pagmamakaawa niya sa'kin. But i just rolled my eyes. Ibinaling ko na lang ang aking tingin sa labas ng bintana, it was all dark.

“Let her be, go back to your room.” Narinig kong utos ni mommy sa katulong namin.

At last, i'm back in the Philippines, we will meet again, Xero. Balita kong nakauwi ka na sa Pinas. I remember how you broke my heart before. You left me hanging. Instead of choosing me, why did you chose her over me? Great huh? Now that I'm back, hindi na kita papakawalan pa.

And to my sister, Aya. I long for your presence. You will always be a part of my heart and memories.

“May you find peace in paradise, my sister.”

Hilda's Point of View

“KUMUSTA na ang pakiramdam mo?”Saglit kong tiningnan ang nars at ibinalik ulit ang tingin sa puting kisame.

Iniisip ko ngayon si Klay, ang apo ko.

“Lola? Okay lang ho ba kayo?” Tanong ulit ng nars sa'kin. Tinanguan ko lang siya.

“Can you speak for me?”

“Hija, hindi ako makakaintindi ng ingles. Tagalugin mo na lang.” Sagot ko sa kaniya.

“Ay sorry po. Okay na, masasabi kong nasa maayos na kalagayan na ho kayo pero,” aniya at tiningnan ang mga mata ko, “kinakailangan ka pa rin naming painumin ng gamot.” Mahinang dugtong niya at nginitian ako.
