"So to summarize, Zeon and you are technically the same person, like two sides of the same coin really and once you mark me I can speak to you even while you're in your wolf form... all because we're mates?"

"Yes, mon amour."

"So he can't actually speak to me? I mean you speak for him? That part just doesn't make sense." It was like taking chemistry all over again. I could recite the information in my head and memorize it but I would never really understand it.

"We share everything, my human body, his lycan form and even our voice. It's just that he's the more primal side of me, if that makes sense. The only time lycans really speak is when they take complete control over either the human or lycan form or if we allow them simply because they'd like to speak. Because he wanted to meet you, I let him take over. If you were marked, you would've been speaking to him directly. Which is still me, just the lycan side of me."

"That's a mind fuck." I concluded.

"I didn't know you had a dirty mouth, mon amour." He looked at me with amusement.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me." I spoke playfully, but truth coated my words.

"Which is exactly why we're going on a date."

The whiplash was real. I almost grew dizzy as I turned to look straight into his eyes. He wasn't playing, he meant what he said.

"A date? Where? I mean there's not really somewhere we could go, unless you want to take me hiking in the woods. Which I'm not opposed to, I haven't worked out in forever and I can feel myself getting bigger every time Devon feeds us." I rambled a little and he smiled.

"No, it's not hiking, but wear something that'll keep you warm and running shoes. We'll have dinner in the balcony in the evening and then we'll go."

Oh yeah, his rich-ass had a balcony behind a set of double doors in his room -- which I hadn't noticed from the outside before because it faced the woods behind the house.

"Where are we going? Can you tell me?"

"Can I? Yes. Will I? Mmm, no." He smirked and I glared playfully.

"Alright, fine. What can we do right now then?"

"We can go down to the movie room for a few hours...or we can stay up here and..." He lightly grabbed my chin and gave me a chaste kiss on the lips.

"Nuh-uh," I chuckled, "You've been very touchy and we haven't gone on that date yet. Wine and dine me first please."

"The touchiness, love, is to make sure you don't experience any more pain."

"Oh wow, Mr. - wait what's your last name?" I realized I didn't know it.

He smiled. "Martel. Although we don't use last names all that often in the lycan world. The name of our packs or in my case, the country or countries I overlook is much more commonly used because it allows us to recognize another lycan's status."

"Woah there cowboy, countries? Is Canada not enough for your highness?" I playfully asked, although I was a bit weary about his answer. Ava had told me he overlooked Canada's packs, nothing more. Maybe she didn't even know that there were more. Or maybe when she'd left, Kol had decided to overlook more territories.

Did he expect me to help with that? I should probably ask soon.

He snapped his eyes towards the window overlooking the tall forest.

"I meant generally, including other lycans." That was all his gruff voice gave. His composure gave me nothing else to work with.

"Okay." I sighed, "Well anyway, my point was that you need to reel your little primal instincts back in and be a normal person for a little bit, yes? Now lets go to the movie room," I pulled him up from the bed and downstairs towards the kitchen. Because there was no way I wasn't stuffing my face for the next few hours. Popcorn was a necessity during movies.
