If I hadn't been glued to his side all night, I would've been an icicle by the time we entered the house.
Kol pulled me in to his room, my heart beating a little faster. We would only be sleeping, but I was still a little nervous. He took the tulips he'd picked for me earlier when I admitted they were my favorite flowers and placed them on the rich, wood nightstand.
He cupped my face, "Love," he kissed the tip of my small nose, "Let's go to bed, your eyes are drooping."
I smiled softly, nodding. I could pass out any second. For some reason, I felt drained.
He kissed my forehead, "Come." He led me to the closet and pointed out the section with sleepwear before he grabbed sweatpants and left to the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
I put on a cream silk tank top and shorts set. As I made my way to the room, I spotted a shirtless Kol sitting on the bed. He faced me, taking his eyes off the tv screen, and inhaled deeply as he moved his eyes up and down my legs. A flicker of yellow made its way into his eyes.
Instead of entertaining his stare, I quickly made my way into the bathroom as I playfully rolled my eyes. I spotted a brand new light pink toothbrush on the right faucet. Yes, the right faucet, he had a double sink. I grabbed some toothpaste from behind the mirror, noticing a bunch of brand new feminine skin care products. My guess was I'd find more in the drawers beneath the sink.
After rinsing my mouth for the last time and lowering my face towards the sink so I could spit, I looked back up to my reflection. Unsurprisingly, I found Kol's gaze meeting my own, a playful look on his face.
Before I could turn to face him, he bent down to carry me back into the bedroom and under the warm covers. A small squeak escaped my lips as he picked me up and set me down.
Then he got under the covers and placed an arm under my head as I turned on my right side. "I like your eyes."
He smiled, "I love yours."
His warmth and the intense tingles covered my body as our skin made contact.
He drew circles on my hips and stopped to caress my cheek, "Goodnight, love." There was a hint of longing and maybe relief in his eyes.
He turned off the lights with a flick on a black button on the side of the headboard. Subconsciously I leaned into his chest and tangled my legs with his, quickly finding comfort and sleep as I listened to his breathing and he ran his fingertips on my arm.
A smile plagued my face as I lay on him and easily found sleep.

I woke to the sound of the shower running.
"Mmm," a groan left my mouth. I hated mornings.
The clock read 8:05. Way too darn early.
I tried finding a comfortable position to go back to sleep, but after 5 minutes of trying, I realized sleep wasn't coming anytime soon. So I decided I'd at least try to be somewhat productive today.
I moped my way into the closet, finding a grey work out set that consisted of grey leggings and a cropped long sleeve dri-fit top. I paired the set with one of the running shoe pairs mounted on a wall.
I shook my head. Nobody needed this many options.
But I did look great in this, very athletic.
I tied my hair up in a bun before making my way to the first room I'd occupied on the second floor. I was not going into the bathroom while Kol washed up inside the see-through shower walls. Not just yet.
