I headed upstairs for sleep, but reminded myself to look into Kol's little secret later. If he wanted this to work out, honesty was non-negotiable.

I woke up about half an hour later. That was a record. My naps usually hit an hour.

I turned on my back to stare up at the plain white ceiling. I sighed, a small smile on my face as I inhaled Kol's scent.

The sounds of an opening door had me whipping my head towards the bathroom until Kol made his way towards me with a pearly white smile on his face.

I grumbled out a, "Hi," before stretching. He looked amused the entire time.

"Are you done with business talk now?" I probed, trying to see if he'd offer anything up.

He stood at the foot of the bed and grabbed my ankles, pulling me down a little as I chuckled. "Yup." He placed his left knee between my thighs, the other on the outside, and hovered over my body as he brought his lips down to mine. I returned the soft kiss.

"We're running tonight." I opened my eyes to look into his. "What do you mean?"

"All of us, in our full wolf form. Mikael, Ava, Devon, Penelope and Cyan." I wasn't sure what he wanted me to say.

"You want a cookie?"

An amused smile made its way onto his face. "You're coming with, mon amour." Yeah, unless I grew a tail, I was pretty sure that wasn't happening.

He noticed my confusion, so before I could even respond, he quickly added, "You'll be riding me," as he pressed another kiss on my warm lips.

I decided to pay not attention to the suggestive tone in his voice because if I had, I'm not sure we would put a stop to anything that would happen in his bed. So I pretended not to notice his smirk as my cheeks went a little pink. "I can just stay here while you-"

"No." His face grew serious and he pushed himself off the bed to get up.

"I'll be fine here. Promise I won't steal your precious-" He sighed and I scrunched my eyebrows, "Hey, fine. You win, I'll go to your wolf race or whatever." I sat up on the bed.

Whatever business he had going on had him stressed and I didn't want to add to that. I figured staying home would be best but if that stressed him out then I guess riding Zeon again wasn't the worst thing in the world.

I'd been hoping we could do that again if I was honest. It was a complete rush.

"I just thought you'd like some time for you know, yourself," I admitted.

He pulled me up until I stood in front of him and ran his nose up and down my neck. He was smelling me again.

I figured if he could do it, so could I. So I inhaled his scent and rested my head on his chest. He smelled amazing.

He chuckled as he noticed my sniffing. "Remember when I told you that you would feel the physical pain before me, if you were apart from me for too long." I nodded, " Well, I also told you I would feel the emotional pain first. And I'm starting to feel it, mon amour. But it's more than that." Another sigh, "Zeon wants you," the emphasis he placed on that phrase alone told me that he was talking about sex and for some reason I felt completely comfortable with the thought, "but once that happens you'll be bound to me forever and I know you can't give me that right now." I didn't feel so comfortable after that. He was right, I couldn't. Not now.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what to say." I hoped he could hear the honesty in my words.

He held my face in his hand, lightly pushing it into his chest.
