Chapter 5

Katie POV

I woke up wrapped up in the arms of Kim, it just felt so right and I could feel her lightly stoking my hair so I guessed she was awake but I didn't move because right now I was too comfortable. I laid there for at least 2 more minutes before I heard Kim speak up.

"I know your no longer asleep."

Her voice startled me as I didn't know that she knew that I was awake and I quickly jumped out of her arms on to my side of the bed. I don't know why I moved so quick but it just felt weird almost like I shouldn't be hugging her like that. Not yet anyway.

"It's ok you know. I didn't mind you falling asleep on me. You didn't need to quickly move like that." Kim sounded really worried and I honestly wasn't sure what to do so I decided to get out of there as fast as I could.

"Oh no it's fine. I just really needed the toilet." I quickly climbed out of bed and scurried out of the room. I looked at the floor the whole tome I was leaving the room and I didn't look up but I could tell that Kim was staring at me. I went to the bathroom and just looked into the mirror.

I don't know what was wrong with me. I felt really comfortable around Kim and I had only just met her. I'm just not sure how to feel at the moment, I really like Kim but she did give me up when I was younger. Part of me was quite mad at her for that but I think I will be able to forgive her, I knew I would be able to, I just needed time.

I walked back to my room hoping that Kim would have gone and lucky I was right. I grabbed my jumper, put on a pair of socks, walked downstairs and I was greeted by Diane's smiling face.

Kim's POV

After Katie's exit from her room I got out of her bed and went to my room. I decided that she probably wouldn't want me to be in her room when she came back seeing as she made a swift exit. I am slightly worried about her but I get why she did it, it just shocked me really. I made a mental note to talk to her about it later and I went to look at my phone that was charging on my nightstand. I had one message and it was from Cheryl.

Good I'm glad to hear that :) you better kimba, feels like I haven't heard your voice in forever ;) xxxx

I don't know what it was but Cheryl always managed to make me smile. It was also quite funny seeing the last time I had spoke to her in person was probably only 4 days ago now and she was already missing my voice. That was sent at about 11:30 last night and it's 10:30 now and guessing that she would probably be awake already I hit dial on my phone and she answered within a few rings.

"Kiiimmmbbbaaaa"

"Oh god cheryl are you drunk already, it's only 10:30 in the morning."

"You cheeky b*tch, I'm not drunk. Sorry for being excited to be talking to my best friend...I guess I should just go now."

"No! No! Please don't go I didn't mean it! Oh come on...you know I love you."

"Sorry what was that last part I didn't quite hear it."

"I said I loved you."

"Sorry one more time." I could hear the sarcasm in her voice and it was at this moment when I realised she had actually heard the first time round, she was just trying to get me to say it over and over again.

"Haha. Very funny...look who's the cheeky b*tch now."

"Aww. Kimba, you know I just love hearing you say those three words."

"Yeah I know, by the way I have realised that you still haven't said it back to me."

"Well maybe I didn't want to say it."

"Fine then...I won't talk until you do." I loved messing with Cheryl like this. She's the only one I really joke around with in this way, and everyone knows it. Me and Cheryl told each other we loved each other in front of everyone, nobody really seems to care anymore, they just see it as normal for us.

"No Kimba please talk to me"

I stayed silent on the other end of the phone, hoping to wind her up a bit.

"Kimba. You there."

"..."

"Please kimba talk to me."

"..."

"Your just mean."

"..."

"Fine ok. I love you Kimba. You happy now?"

I decided she had had enough torture so I replied to her. "Perfectly happy thanks."

"And she's back. Anyway enough about how much we love each other. How's everything going with Katie?"

I explained to Cheryl for at least half an hour about everything that had happened and after promising to buy her something cute when we went shopping and to message her later, she finally let me go.

I walked downstairs to find my mum and Katie chatting at the kitchen table over some breakfast.

"Morning. darling. So you finally decide to join us?"

"Haha. Very funny mum. I wasn't asleep. I was on the phone to Cheryl."

"Aww ok. How is she? We haven't seen her up here in a while."

"She's fine thanks mum. Oh I know. She was just talking about maybe coming up with me next time I come up."

"Oh good. It will be nice to see her again. See Katie if your gonna live with Kim there's two things you need to know." For the first time since i had come into the room Katie looks up from her bowl and towards my mum. "First of all Kim likes her sleep. A lot." This made Katie giggle and I was about to protest but my mum spoke up again. "And second of all...her and Cheryl are joined at the hip. Never apart. They can't be apart for longer than a week, otherwise they'll go crazy." I saw no point even trying to object to this because it was true. I saw Katie smiling at me and i knew that it was probably just better to forget what happened this morning.

We chatted at the kitchen table for about half an hour until my mum said what we all wanted to do.

"Right who's up for some shopping?"

Sorry that it's a short chapter but the next one should be much longer :)
