Chapter 55

Katie's POV

This morning when I woke up Cheryl and Kim told me that I wasn't going to be at school for the rest of the week.

I didn't mind this because it's not like I wanted to go anyway, plus it gives me time to work on my story.

At least I thought it would, by the sounds of it Cheryl and Kim have planned something for the rest of the week.

We never seem to be doing nothing, we always seem to be busy.

Like today for example, the live shows for X factor start this weekend and Cheryl needs dresses, which means we are going shopping.

Cheryl has a few dresses sorted for the first few weeks so she isn't panicking too much but she needs more for the other weeks.

Just before we were about to leave Kimberley got a call from her manager and she remembered that she had a meeting this morning.

She couldn't cancel it so she is going to join me and Cheryl later.

So far we have only been in one store but we have found two perfect dresses for the live shows.

I always find it weird shopping with Cheryl and Kimberley, especially for stuff like this, because the shops are completely different to what I shopped in before.

It feels like you shouldn't enter this store unless you don't have a lot of money to spend.

"Katie, what do you think of this?"

Cheryl shows me a strapless blue dress that I can already tell would look amazing on her.

"It's really nice, why don't you try it on?"

"I will do."

She leads me to the dressing rooms and I wait outside as she goes in but she still talks to me through the curtain.

"By the way, Kimba texted not long ago to say she was finished with her meeting so I told her where we were. She should be arriving any time now."

Literally as Cheryl said this I saw Kim come through the door to the shop.

She saw me straight away so she came over and I gave her a hug as she got to me.

"Hey, how's it going?"

"Good, we've already got two dresses and Cheryl is trying on a third now."

"Sounds good."

"Yeah, how was your meeting?"

"Not really interesting, just a general one that I have to have every now and then to remind me of what I have coming up."

She raised her voice slightly so Cheryl would be able to hear her through the curtain.

"Which reminds me, I've been booked for the Xtra factor at some point towards the end."

"That's good, hold on I'm about to come out in a minute."

Kim sat down next to me adjusting her heals.

"Why do you two always wear heels?"

"I don't always wear heels."

I raised my eyebrows at her and mentioned to the heals on her feet at the moment.

"Ok, well I'm wearing them now but I don't always, it's Cheryl that does the most."

I was about to reply but I was stopped by Cheryl's voice.

"You two ready?"

We both replied yes and soon the dressing room curtain was pulled back as Cheryl walked out in the dress she had shown me earlier.
