Katie's POV

We were stood out the London Zoo gates, to say I was excited was an understatement. I was so happy, I don't know why but I have always loved Zoos, I just love seeing all the different kinds of animals. I think Kim and the girls could tell I was extremely excited as well from the way they were looking at me but I didn't care.

All of the girls were wrapped up in jackets and seeing as it was a school day, nobody had really recognised them yet, which was good because it aloud us to have time together as if they weren't one of Britain's biggest pop bands.

"Come on guys. We can go in now." From the sound of that I don't think I was the only excited one, Nicola seemed just as excited as me. She linked my arm with hers and started speed walking into the zoo and everyone else was just following us around.

Once we had been everywhere in the Zoo we decided that we would go for lunch, so we are now at in John Lewis. I was sat with a cuddly penguin toy on my lap, a present from Nicola because she said I ran around the see all the animals with her while the other girls wouldn't. Nicola was also sat there with a meerkat on her lap because Kim had bought her one after she bought me something.

"So Katie what was your favourite part of the zoo?"

"Erm. Well I really liked the penguin beach and the butterfly paradise...oh...and the meerkats were pretty cool too."

I looked over to Cheryl. "What about you?"

"I liked all of it really, other than the bug part."

Everyone at the table apart from me and Sarah agreed to that, so me and Sarah laughed and she spoke up. "Oh my god. You wimps. It wasn't that bad."

"Sarah you did see the size of that spider didn't you?"

"Yeah. And? It's not like it was anywhere near you!"

This sounded as if it could have carried on for a while however it didn't because Kim suddenly spoke up.

"Oh for f*cks sake." Me and the girls all turned to look at Kim to find her looking down at her phone. It was silent until Cheryl spoke up.

"Kimba babe. What's wrong?"

She looked up like she hadn't realised she had said anything out loud, she looked at me with a sad look on her face and then looked over to Cheryl. "Erm...I'll be back in a minute." She stood up with her phone in her hand, left the table and walked over to the bathrooms.

We had all been watching her walking away and once she was out of sight, I turned to Cheryl. I wasn't sure what to do, or what to say and it seems I wasn't the only one, but I thought Cheryl might know. Nobody said anything for a few minutes until Cheryl said something. "I'm gonna go and see if Kim's ok."

I still wasn't sure what to or what to say but I was brought out of my thoughts when Nicola moved next to me. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

"But...what? I don't get whats going on."

Nadine spoke up this time. "Us either hunny, but I can promise you that no matter what it is we will all be here with you."

I looked up at them and smiled. I had met these girls last night and I already felt completely comfortable around them like I had known them for a long time. Well I had in a way because I liked Girls Aloud but I didn't really know them.
I was soon pulled out of my thoughts as Cheryl and Kim were approaching the table holding hands. They took their original places at the table and it was silent until Kim looked directly at me and spoke up.
