Truth (Chim)

Chapter 13

Just a warning this chapter is rated R (I'm not even 100% sure I know what that means but other people put it on these type of chapters, so here we go I guess...)

Katie's POV

Kim had gone out to get some shopping while me and Cheryl were sat downstairs watching tv. I thought it was kinda weird that Cheryl didn't go with Kim and they were acting different around each other this morning. They weren't their usually jokey selves and I don't think they had actually had a proper conversation this morning that don't involve me in it. At first I wondered if it may have been their hangovers that caused them to be like that but even hours after they took some paracetamol they were still the same and I know I haven't had a hangover before but I'm pretty sure the paracetamol should of kicked in by then.

I turn to Cheryl and I notice her staring off into space. "Cheryl. You ok?"

"Huh? What?"

"I asked if you were ok."

"Yeah. I'm fine, just thinking that's all."

"Anything I can help with?"

"No, its fine." She was very quick to answer this and I knew she was just saying that.

"Cheryl...I know I haven't known you for long but by any chance is this about Kim" She looked up at me as soon as I said this.

"Erm no why would it be?" Just from her facial expressions I could tell that she was trying to hide something. I wasn't sure what to say here, but I knew I needed to say something to get Cheryl to admit her feelings, I mean it's so obvious that they like each other.

"Oh come on Cheryl, I may only be fifteen but I could tell that was a lie. Everyone knows that you and Kim have a special friendship, your always so close but I can tell that you maybe want more?"

She just looked at me and I could tell she was speachless, so decided to say something else before she could find her voice. "And what ever you feel about her, I'm sure she feels the same."

"Really?"

"Yes. Oh come on! People have got to be idiots to not see it, I may have only known Kim for just over a week and you a few days but I can see it. Plus all the girls do too, that's pretty much what me and Nicola were talking about last night. The morning after I met you and you and Kim came to wake me up, it felt like you were my family waking me up together and anyone who didn't know us and saw that would too because they can easily see the love that was in that room. Then later when you mentioned Jean I saw her face drop. And lastly the fact that after everything that happened you came to Kim, you could have gone to someone else but you came straight to Kim and i've seen the way she's been looking after you. She truely cares about you Cheryl more than a friend."

She still hasn't said a word and I can see that she is more speachless than she was before, I didn't even know that was possible. But before she can say anything her phone starts ringing, after a few rings she picks it up, and I can only hear her side of the conversation.

"Hello"

"What? Now?"

"Erm ok. I'll be there soon."

She puts her phone down and gets off the sofa. "I'm sorry Katie but I'm late for a meeting, I'll text Kim and let her know i've had to go but she shouldn't be long, will you be ok on your own for a bit?"

"Yeah that's fine, have fun."

"I'll try, bye." She kisses me on the forehead and then leaves. It makes me smile because Kim did the exact same thing earlier when she left to go shopping.
