***March 19th***

It was way too early for me. We had a 5AM wake up call to be at the arena. Today was our first show, and it was in Oklahoma City. That was a six hour drive from Houston. Each even had their own bus, if that made any sense. All the bull riders had their own bus, and all the barrel racers had their own, meaning Roz and I had our own. It was smaller, and like an RV rather than a huge bus, but it had four bunks, a Kitchen area, living area, and bathroom. Just no shower, so we would have to use the ones at the venues.

Roz and I arrived at the arena just before 5AM. We checked in and went to our bus. I sat down on the couch and grabbed my phone. I immediately texted Ellie.

S: morning sis! it's early, but today is the day! wish you were here. love you so so much!

I knew she wouldn't respond this early, but atleast it was something nice to wake up too.

As I was sitting there, I looked out the window to the next bus. I saw the boy that I'd been having these little moments with the past couple days. I still had never spoke to him, and didn't even know his name. He made eye contact with me through the window and waved. I smiled and waved back. He sat his bag down and held up his thumb and pinky, and brought it to his ear indicating to call him. I held up my phone and pointed, he nodded. He then held up the fingers '205 - 784 - 8020'. He then held up his fingers again indicating to call.

I wasn't about to call this man, so I just sent a text.

Sadie: is this the boy by the bus?

Mystery Man: it is. thought i said to call tho lol.

Sadie: i apologize. i just don't even know your name.

Mystery Man: well, let's change that. im jess. jess lockwood.

Sadie: im sadie rosen.

Jess: nice to meet you. ive seen you around some.

Sadie: yeah. ive seen you too. at the hotel. always shirtless, might I add.

Jess: 😂 if you got it, flaunt it.

Sadie: hmm, confident or cocky.

Jess: neither. just honesty!

Sadie: typical man!

Jess: but don't girls always like honest men?

Sadie: okay, you got me there. smooth talker too, huh?

Jess: nah. maybe just confident.

Sadie: 😂 like I said...smooth talker.

Jess: maybe so, but i do not play guitar like hannah montana says in that song.

Sadie: wow. a man who watched hannah montana. manly.

Jess: what can i say..confident, cocky, smooth, and in touch with my femine side.

Sadie: hmm, maybe don't let that be known to the bulls you ride.

Jess: ooh, you got me there! i can tell this ride will be fun with you here to bust my balls.

Sadie: we shall see.

The entire six hour ride was filled with a lot of laughs from texting Jess. He was extremely funny, but could also be serious too. That was nice. When we finally got to Oklahoma, I put my phone away, and focused on getting to the arena and seeing Buck.

I walked with Roz to the pens once we were settled in our dressing room. Her horses name was Mingo. She told me she had an obsession with Flamingos when she was little, so that was how she named the horse. She also said she always wore a back outfit while performing for that reason. I was wore white, because Buck was jet black, so the colors went good together.

"Look. Here's our boys" Roz says as we find Buck and Mingo.

"Ohh, hey boy!" I say and rub Bucks head. He was the sweetest thing. "You ready to put on a show tonight? Me too!" I kissed his foreahad before going to rub Mingo. Good thing the two horses got along good.

Just as we started walking away, my phone began to ring. It was a FaceTime call from Ellie. I answered immediately.

"Hey, sis" I say.

"Hey! Good luck tonight! You'll be amazing!" She says.

"Thank you! I wish you were here with me though" I say. "Oh, hey do you wanna see your buddy?".

"Bucky boy? Yes!" She says. I walked back over and stood beside him. "Awee! My buddy! Hi, boy! I miss you!".

"He's excited for tonight" I say.

"How is it working with Rozlyn White?" She asks.

"Oh, she's the best. Do you wanna say hi?" I ask. She nods. Roz stood beside me as we walk back to our dressing room.

"Hey, Ellie!" She says.

"Hi! It's nice to meet you!" She says.

"You too! Sadie says good things about you" She replies.

"Well, as long as they're good" Ellie jokes. We all laughed.

"Sadie, I got a class with Daddy soon. I just wanted to call and wish you luck and tell you that you're amazing and I love you" She says. That melted my heart.

"I love you more, Ell" I say. "Talk to you later".

I hung up the phone and we started to go into the dressing room. Roz walked in first and I followed behind. Just before I walked in, I looked up. Something, or should I say someone,  caught my eye. Down the hall, there was Jess. He was wearing black basketball shorts and his cowboy hat,  and was once again shirtless. I just shook my head. He waved and I waved back. He was something special, that man. I knew that for a fact, and I had never even spoke to him.
