The Perfect Ride

Chapter 35

Monday, June 7th. A week ago Jess was breaking my heart, but yesterday he put it back together, better than it was before.

I woke up in his arms, still completely unclothed. I gently kissed his lips.

"Mmm, I've missed that" He says sleepily.

"Goodmorning" I say. He kisses me again. Our kiss was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Sadie!?" I hear.

"Oh, no. Roz" I say and scramble tonget dressed. I quickly slide on my clothes and grab my shoes before walking out.

"Well, I was wondering where you'd been" She says with a smirk. "Guess you're you're together?".

"Yeah, we...we talked. We're...good" I say. Her eyes fixated on my chest.

"Yeah, a lot of time to talk when your clothes are off" She says and pulls the tag of my shirt out. I'd put it on backwards. I quickly took it off and put it back on.

"Jesus, Sadie! Where's your damn bra?" She asks, covering me up. I was so stupid. I didn't even bother putting it on and had just got the shirt...of course backwards. "So...are you gonna tell me about it?". We made our way back back our room.

"It was...great. He was so nice, and gentle. It couldn't have been better" I say, we sat down on the couch together.

"Did you use anything?" She asks.

"No. Honestly, I didn't care. I just wanted him" I admit.

"Horn dog" She says. I laugh and gently smack her arm.

"Where's Ell?" I ask.

"Sleeping. She passed out early. I figured I'd come find you before she woke up" She says.

"Thanks. If she caught me like you did, she'd die" I say with a laugh. Growing up, Ellie and I were raised in a religious household. We both originally wanted to wait untik marriage to have sex, but...that was out the window for me. I didn't want Ellie to be disappointed. I mean, I know I'm 23, but still...she's my little sister and looks up to me.

"Are you happy?" She asks.

"I feel...like myself again" I say. Life sucks without Jess. I don't want to be without him ever again" I say.

"Well, then that's all that matters" She says and slaps her hand on my knee. "And, I have to say...it's good to see you back to your old self".

"It's good to feel like it again too" I say. She smiled. "Okay, I'm going to take a shower before Ell wakes up and smells the sex". She naughty as I skipped tk the shower. I couldn't help but think of my night with Jess last night. It was perfect. He was perfect. We were perfect. I wanted that forever.

After I took a shower, Jess called me. He said he'd arranged a night out for the two of us, as well as Roz and Cooper. Ellie was the odd man out, but she didn't care. She made friends with some of the other riders.

"Where's are they taking us?" Roz asks. She was putting on a black and red rose print dress. Her bump was very prominent in it. I loved it. I wore a strapless, emerald dress. I knew green was Jess's color.

"Not sure. He said to dres nice, though" I say. "Thst baby bump is banging".

"No. That body is banging" She says.

"No wonder he laid you" She jokes. "Just use protection next time, or you'll get a bump". There was a knock at the door. Ellie answered.

"Man, oh man. You boys look nice" She says. I thought she was just saying that to say it, but that was before insaw Jess. He was in his wrangler jeans, black boots and an emerald button up with a black bow tie and his black cowboy hat. Cooper had on the same jeans, boots, and hat, but his shirt was black and had an identical rose pattern to Roz.

"So hot" I whisper to Roz before Jess leans in to kiss my cheek.

"You look gorgeous" He says.

"Thank you" I say. We turn to Roz and Cooper. They'd been becoming extremely good friends lately, but I knew Roz was crushing hard, and apparently Cooper was too.

"Rozlyn, you...you're beautiful" He says.

"Thanks Coop" She says. He extends her hand, and she took it. I loved the fact that he was the only one of us who called her by her full name.

"You all ready?" Jess asks. I nod and wrap my arms around his, wedding style. He opened the car door for Roz and I. Cooper handed us each a bouquet of Roses.

"Prettiest girls get the best treatment" He says says a smirk. I knew it was meant for Roz.

Jess sat next to me and put his hand on my thigh. I nuzzle in close to him. He kissed my forehead.

"I'm so happy" He says. "I love you so much, baby".

"I love you too" I say. I was literally so in love with him, it was impossible to describe. I knew how I felt and I'd never felt this way before.

"Okay, baby. I need you to put this on" Jess says holding out a blindfold. "You too, Roz". She and I exchange glances, but do so. Jess and Coooer help us out and lead us up a few stairs. A few minutes later, I felt a rail. "Ready, baby?".

"Yeah" I reply. Roz and Cody were in a different spot. My breath was taken away instantly. We were on a rooftop that overlooked the city of Vancouver. It was stunning. "Baby!".

"Sadie, I know the past couple weeks have been rocky. I know we broke up, and I know I hurt you and broke your heart. But-" He got choked up and took my hands. "But, I love you, Sadie Rosen. I don't ever want to be without you. And if you'll let me love your forever, I will". I wiped a tear away.

"I will love you forever" I say. He sniffled.

"Now, this isn't a proposal, but I want to give you this" He says and pulls out a black box. He opened it. It was a sterling sliver ring with an emerald in the middle. "This ring is a promise to you, Sadie. A promise that I will always love you, be there for you, never hurt you. A promise to give you forever, if you choose to take it".

"Baby, I will" I say. He slides the ring onto my ring finger. And scoops me into his arms. "I love you, Jess Lockwood".

"I love you more" He says before kissing me. He pulled away and looked at me. "One day, baby. That will be a diamond".
