03/01/2021-Hi everyone! Thank you for showing interest in my story. I really hope you enjoy it. Since starting this last December, we've reached over 20K words now! I've been going back and making some adjustments to the dialog as well as the imagery in some of the early chapters. I think I've just gotten a bit better at writing, but also to align somethings with the manga as more chapters come out. So, be warned, there are minor spoilers. The spoilers are pretty vague until later on in the story, but they are spoilers nonetheless. Anyway, I love your feedback, I love reading your comments. So please don't be afraid to interact. Love you all, and thank you again!

After Hawks dropped Arya to the ground level below the balcony, he went back inside to sit on the couch and wait. He waited until he could tell she was a good distance away, his feather he gave her being the reason he knew. The feathers didn't really help with exact location, it helped more with proximity when it came to that. It was an extension of himself, just like he told her. He could still feel the odd sensation of when she tried to hide the feather necklace, sticking it in between her breasts. He shivered. She didn't know what she was doing exactly, what it did to him, but he couldn't bring himself to stop her.
Once he could tell she was far enough away, he went to his bedroom and walked to his dresser. He opened his underwear drawer, dug to the bottom, finding the cheap flipphone he had hidden away. He flipped it open, and dialed a number he now knew by heart, and put it to his ear.
The phone rang 3 times. He started to worry the other would not pick up. He looked at the clock, it read 8:34 AM.
Come on, come on. Wake up, you burnt bacon bastard.
Finally, the phone stopped ringing, but it didn't go to voice-mail. He heard a groan on the other end, but no words yet. There was some shuffling before he finally heard a voice.
"What do you want?" His voice was groggy, and still had sleep in his tone.
"Good morning, sunshine! I'm calling because we have ourselves a problem."
Another groan was the only response, he heard the bed squeak as Dabi tossed and turned. "Sounds like you have a problem. I don't have any problems until after noon, and even then, it's debatable."
Hawks rolled his eyes. Dabi and the League were the reason he was in this mess. This new development was all their problem. "Her quirk. It has something to do with memories. I don't know how it works yet, but this, her living here, is not going to work."
"It will work. You'll make it work." Dabi responded, his tone no longer carrying sleep, suddenly very serious. Hawks heard the flick of a lighter on the other line. "You're still on the fence of gaining our trust, and you're lucky I'm counting on you for this one task." Keeping her safe.
"What am I supposed to do when she sees memories of us? Memories of the League. She thinks I'm completely loyal to the Heros. If she's supposedly yours, I don't understand why you want me to watch her when it should be you."
"Figure it out!" He growled. "You know I can't do it. I can't keep her safe while also making sure the League doesn't know we have her." His voice was suddenly low to a whisper. "Get her to tell you have her quirk works. Maybe that will lower the chance of her seeing something she shouldn't see."
