After the commotion at Hawks' office, he was pretty quick about getting Arya out of there. Jeremy assured Hawks he would take care of everything. Arya was curious about what they were talking about, but Arya figured it wasn't any of her business. They said their goodbyes to everyone, and began their walk home.

Hawks was extremely quiet, and it had Arya worried. He took his time, walking next to her, letting her do what she needed to do. She was able to get back some of the energy she had lost. She wasn't able to take much from Citadel, and not that she really wanted to. There was nothing appealing about him, and sure as hell having his energy would have just caused other problems. Hawks silence was making her extremely anxious, it was pretty rare that he didn't have something to say, but the biggest concern being that he was upset with her. Just the day before, she told him that she didn't use her quirk on others for a reason, and she broke her own rule. The fact Arya lost her temper so easily, was another thing. She chose to break the silence first.

"Do you think Tokoyami will say anything?"

Hawks didn't answer right away, and thought about it before. "I don't think he will, but I can call him later about it if it worries you." Arya wasn't really that concerned about Tokoyami, she was more concerned about Hawks. She had only mentioned him to try and stir conversation. "I plan to make an example of Citadel, I just want you know."

She gapped at him, surprised. Citadel had been there to quit anyway, and unsure what Hawks meant. What other example could he make? "Well, It's your agency, that's up to you. I think he learned his lesson. I spooked him pretty bad." She tried to give a light hearted giggle, to try to relieve some tension. Maybe if Hawks didn't think she was still mad, he wouldn't be so harsh.

Hawks lightly grabbed her arm to stop her, and turned her towards him. He gave her arm a squeeze, to emphasize his seriousness. "No, you don't understand. You are my guest, and in my agency. He disrespected you, as well as Tokoyami, that doesn't fly with me."

Pun intended?

Arya's cheeks heated, and she swore she could hear her heart beating out of her chest. No one has ever really stood up for her before, and he wasn't angry at her for what she did. He was angry at Citadel for instigating.

Jeezus....I hope he can't hear my heart beating like that....

On the other hand, that wasn't suddenly horny for him, she desperately wanted to relieve the agitation. The serious Hawks was new, and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. So, she couldn't help the next words that came out of her mouth. "Is he gonna get the beak?" She used her hand, and made like a hook with her pointer finger.

Hawks' expression remained stoic, even with the pun.

Damn.....I thought that shit was funny....

Hawks released her then, and turned to keep walking. "You're not taking this seriously." Arya hurried after him, and hooked her arm around his so he couldn't run away.

"I'm sorry, maybe this isn't the best time for jokes." To her surprise, Hawks pulled her arm in closer, and used his other hand to hold hers that was hooked in his arm. It felt very secure. "I just......can't believe I lost my temper like that. I really shouldn't have."

"You don't need to apologize. I don't think you did anything wrong, and if I'm going to be honest, you're amazing. It was awesome getting to see what you can do. It took everything in me to not rush out there and handle him myself."

"Oh, did he ruffle your feathers too?" Arya saw the slighted hint of a smile pull at his lips, and she broke out into a huge smile, laughing. "Oh come on! That was funny."
