Hawks was already outside the U.A. gates when Arya strolled up to him at the end of the day. "Oh wow! I didn't expect you to be here right as I got out." She stood right in front of him as he kept his position, perched against the wall.

"Jeez kid, do you really expect that little of me? I told you I'd be here."

"True, true. I guess I'll need to raise my expectations from now on. Busy day?"

Hawks pushed himself off the wall, and stepped closer to her. "Eventful, for sure." He said with a smile.

"Listen, running away from fangirls doesn't count. Did you do any actual work today?"

Hawks slammed a fist over his heart, dramatically. "Ughh you got me! You're the only one who can see right through my bullshit." Arya just responded with a laugh, like wide smile, cackle kind of laugh. Hawks was so surprised, he realized something. "I've never actually heard you laugh before." He smiled at her again. "You should do it more often."

She returned his grin. "Maybe you should make me laugh more often."

How did we get here? She practically hated me not even a week ago. Now, here we are with playful banter.

"Note taken. How did your first day go?"

"Eh boring. Mostly just paperwork. Nezu says I'll get to meet the students tomorrow. I'll be working along side Mr. Aizawa and All Might."

"Awesome! I'm super happy for you. Unfortuantely though, we cant go directly home yet. I have to stop by my agency really quick. It's close by the apartment. I just need to meet with someone and pick up some stuff. I'd like you to come with me, if you don't mind. Plus, by this time our intern should still be there. He's one of the students in class 1A. I'm sure you'd love to meet him."

"Yes!....I mean, sure. Let's go." She closed her eyes then, and held her arms out, waiting for Hawks to grab her and take off to the sky. Hawks smiled to himself again. He thought he might kiss her, but decided against it for now. He felt like it may be too soon, plus there was serious business that needed to get done. If he kissed her now, he thought he may not be able to stop.

"Are you sure you're okay to fly? We can walk for a little bit if you need it." Arya peeked one eye open, Hawks noticed it was a light brown, no longer golden.

"I should be okay for now. We can walk a little bit afterward since the apartment is closer." She closed her eyes again.

He grabbed her bag that was hanging off her shoulder, and strung it over his head and across his chest. Then he grabbed her, hauling her against his chest too. Arya instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, and wrapped her legs around his waist. With their usual flying position in place, Hawks bolted out into the sky.

After a short flight, they landed on the rooftop of Hawks' Hero office. They headed inside, and Hawks led Arya toward his office, where Jeremy was already there waiting for him. Lani was standing in the way of his office, arguing with him.

"You can't be in here! This is Hawks' office!" Clearly, Jeremy just kind of took it upon himself to waltz right in without warning. Lani had been trying to shoo him away ever since.

"Hawks is expecting me, I swear, lady!"

"Woah! Easy Lani, it's okay. I'm sorry, I should have warned you."

Hawks explained to her that he was only there by his instruction. Lani shook hands and greeted Arya, then quickly headed back to her desk. Not bothering to apologize to Jeremy. Hawks introduced Jeremy and Arya as well. Then, like on cue, another guy walked around the corner toward Hawks' office. His head was like that of a black bird, and he wore long dark robes.
