The sun had just begun to set when they arrived back at the school. Hawks was leaning against the barrier wall of U.A. as they walked up to him. He turned to look at Arya and Midnight approaching, keeping his eyes glued to Arya. They were holding about 6 large bags of essentials. Clothes, toiletries, etc. Arya also bought some art supplies. Nothing compared to the aray of items she had before the fire, but it was enough to get her by. She didn't want to dip too far into her savings.

Shit.....thats right...I guess I need to contact the renter insurance about all my stuff.

Midnight waved to Hawks, and gave Arya a quick hug before entering the gate of the school. "Be good." She whispered to her and winked. Arya just looked her puzzled.

Be good? For what?

Hawks zipped over to them, offering his hands. "Let me take those, my feathers can hold them while we fly over to my place."

Without thinking, Arya handed the bags to him, willing to get rid of the heavy load. It took a second for his words to register.

Wait....we?.....flying?.....oh no no no no.

"I'm not comfortable with flying." She said nervously. There weren't many circumstances that spiked her anxiety, but flying, heights, falling, those things did. Just the idea, the sensation of what feels like her stomach lodging this her throat, was enough to make her body tighten. "I would....feel more comfortable just walking."

He considered her for a second. "I can understand that. Flying used to give me the willies too. Falling isn't exactly the greatest feeling until you get used to it." His tone told her that he was genuine with his statement, but she couldn't help to chuckle at him.

"How would you know? Why would someone like you have a fear of falling?"

His eyes seemed to darken as he stared at her. He wasn't smiling now.

Damn, that came out a bit harsher than I intended.

He ignored her jab. "Look, my place isn't exactly close by. I'm sure you're exhausted after today. Just let me carry you, so we can get there faster and relax. I'm all about being fast but I'll go at a slower pace for you. I promise, you'll be safe in my hands." He held up his right hand like he was taking an oath. "Plus, I'm sure you're hungry. I already have food ready for us."

Her stomach audibly rumbled at the first mention of food. The corner of Hawks lips curled up slightly at the sound, like he felt he had won.

Food? Now he's speaking my language.

She nervously ran her fingers through her hair. It made her uneasy that somehow he always knew the right thing to say.

Charismatic bastard.....

"Fine, but can we try to not make this a habit? I'm really just tired today."

Hawks nodded and grinned. A couple feathers shot out from his wings, grabbing hold of her bags, lifting them into the air with ease.

"Phone? Wallet?" Hawks held out a hand. Reluctantly, she handed the items over. Hawks took her phone and wallet, sticking inside one of the inside pockets of his jacket, and zipped it shut.

Hawks stepped behind her, taking hold her arm, and positioning it around his neck. "Hold on, okay? I'm going to pick you up now. I don't know if 'wedding style' is most ideal, but I'd rather you be comfortable." She nodded, her breath catching in her throat.

Hawks wasn't a very tall or bulky guy. Arya figured he was about 5'8", only about 4 inches taller than her. And it was hard to tell from the clothes he was wearing, but he seemed pretty lean and muscular. His wings just seemed to make him larger than life. She felt so much smaller standing next to him.
