Everyone conjugated after rushing to Thea's aid. All the kids were in rough shape. Each one had at least one broken bone or torn ligament. Things were going to take a while to heal. Tony called for an ambulance, which arrived a few minutes later. While they waited, the teens talked with each other.
"Hey, can we go get Shawarma now?" Toni smiled to her sister.
"That actually sounds really good," Thea laughed.
"Are they open? After an attack like that?" Castor looked to his friends.
"I don't think the attack was that deep into the city so they should be," Artemis nodded.
"I think we need to go to the hospital before we go out to eat. We're all in awful shape," Tau crossed his arms.
"Nah, we can just walk it off," Brooklyn shrugged.
"Says the girl with a punctured lung," Echo laughed.
"Ah, I can't feel it."
Castiel took his as an invitation to poke her ribs. Brook winced at the pain of her lung. The boy laughed, "Can't feel it, huh? I thought I was the one who deceives and lies."
"Ha ha. You're so funny," the girl glared at the god.
Alek and Nicole watched their friends silently, laughing every now and again at their ridiculous statements.
The entire time, the parents were watching their new legacy unfold before their eyes. Tony turned to Steve, "You know, they're too much like us."
"Do you think they'll have to go through what we did?"
"I hope not," Thor chipped in. "That was intense."
"Yeah, I'm surprised you guys haven't gone to therapy yet," Rhodey laughed.
"Speak for yourself," Wanda joined in the conversation. "Natasha, Bucky, and I all went together after Tony came back."
"I've set up an appointment for Tony and I," Pepper noted. "But it always gets rescheduled due to things like this."
They all nodded, looking back to their offspring. Sam finally chipped in, "I think it'll be time to retire soon."
"Yeah, I think it's time that we give the spot light to the next generation," T'Challa nodded. During the attack, he realized how much his son had grown with in the span of nine months. It was remarkable how much that his peers and friends were able to influence him.
"That doesn't sound too bad," Vision added. "With how all of you are aging, I don't think you'll be able to handle another war."
"Calling us old, Siri?" Clint glared.
"Yes, in fact I am sir."
"At least I can figure out the reCAPTCHA 'are you a robot' test," Clint remarked, causing a laugh from all the avengers.
While the parents continued to talk, the teens were enjoying each others company. "Wait, Thea, you aren't actually ordering us Shawarma, right?"
"IANH, call Mamoun's Falafel."
"Oh my god, she was serious!" Artemis laughed.
"Do you think they deliver out here?" Echo asked.
"I don't think we'll be here when they finish the food," Castor sighed.
"Okay, what does everyone want?"
"Dude, we can't order shawarma out here!"
"Sh! Leanne! I wanna see where this is going," Castiel leaned in. "I want anything with chicken or lamb."
