Third Person POV
With it being a girl's volleyball game, there was a surprising number of people in the stands when the girls came out of the changing rooms

"I can't believe we actually got on the Varsity team," Thea hustled to the bench next to her friends.

"I believed Nicole could," Brooklyn nudged the smiling girl besides her. "But for us, I didn't think we would either. With us being busy and all."

"Yeah," Leanne agreed.

"Alright team, huddle up," Jessica Jones said to the girls. The girls in their red and black volleyball uniforms. Their coach spoke, "You girls were put on this team for a reason. Now you go do me proud. Don't screw up either. Those girls are relentless. Falcons on three. One. Two..."

"Falcons!"

"Falcon Fans!" The announcer spoke through the speakers as the girls sat on their respected benches. "You ready to rumble?!"

The crowd cheered behind them.

"Let us introduce The DC Ravens players. At number 24, Princess Rebecca Themyscira!"

One side cheered.

"Number 15, Kinsey Zor-El! Next, Goel Logan, number 5!"

Brooklyn turned to Nicole, "Hey, she's green like you."

"That's Beast Boy's kid."

"Oof."

"And finally, at number 27, Clarice Kal-El!" The crowd cheered.

"Now it's time for our very own, Academy Falcons!" Everyone cheered as a few girls formed a kind of tunnel. Leanne went to the court and stood waiting for the team.

"At number 16, Theadora Stark!" Thea stood up and ran through their tunnel. She did a cool handshake with Leanne before heading onto the court. The crowd cheered.

"Next, Brooklyn Rogers with number 19!" She did the same thing, except she had a different handshake. The crowd cheered just as loud.

She went over beside her best friend, "You ready?"

"I guess."

"Number 22, Nicole Banner!" She did the same as the first two. She went just behind Thea as the crowd cheered.

They called off a few more while the girls across the net began to talk to Thea and her friends. The dark-haired one, Princess Rebecca, turned to Thea and her friends, "Hey girlies."

Her best friend smirked, "How've ya been?"

"Heya," Thea nodded.

"Wassup," Brooklyn smiled. "I've been alright, but-"

"But what?" the princess smirked. "Your daddy didn't give you your allowance."

Kinsey, the blonde  one on their team, laughed, "Yeah. Not have enough money to buy another American flag."

"Hey, that might be accurate," Thea put up her finger to shut them up, "but that doesn't give you the right to make fun of her like that."

"Oh what's your dad going to do?" Clarice Kal-El smirked. "Run from it, just like the rest of his problems?"

Thea opened her mouth, but Nicole was quicker, "How about you guys shut up? We're trying to be good sportsmen, but you are making very difficult."

"I bet we are, Monster."

"Alright," Thea was getting really ticked off and that was the last straw, "your ass is grass. Prepare to take the L."

"Let's get this game started!" The announcer interrupted the girl's near-brawl conversation. As the game continued, the three girl's remained in. Coach Jones had figured they were doing well enough that they wouldn't need to be substituted with anyone. She put in Leanne after a pep talk during halftime.

"Alright girls, we're doing great so far."

"Great?" Thea rolled her eyes. "We're only winning by five points. That's not great."

"It's great for what we're doing," their coach put her eyebrow up. "That's what matters, as long as we're beating them."

"Amen," Nicole nodded.

"You didn't even pray?" Leanne seemed confused by Nicole's single word sentence.

"Just...never mind..."

"Okay, Brooklyn," the coach turned to number 19. "I want you to serve the best you can. Give it all you got."

Brooklyn nodded right as the timer went off. She took the ball. The girls got into their designated places. Brook stepped behind the line. Before lifting it, she gazed into the crowd. Her father wore a proud smile. Her friends were sitting on the edge of their seats. Brook kind of giggled at that.

She brought her gaze back to the court. Those girls made her blood boil more than words could describe. She raised the ball. It smacked her hand before flying across the room. It hit Goel Logan in the stomach. Everything went silent as the girl fell.

The manager and coach went to help her up as the teams knelt down. Brooklyn whispered to Thea, "I totally didn't mean to do that. I swear."

"I know. I believe you. But I don't think they do," her roommate pointed across the gym. The player's friends were all glaring in their direction.

"I'm screwed."

"Yep."

They did their rounds. The score was 34-29. Falcons were up. The Ravens weren't very happy about this either.

In the least ten minutes of the game, Thea and Brook were in front just like the beginning. And those superhero bullies were also in the front. The ball went flying. They tossed it around back and forth for a while.

It flew fast from the Falcons' side to the Ravens' side. Everyone watched as Princess Themyscira hit the ball with force. So much, in fact, that it went at lightning speed...right towards Thea's face.

It hit Thea smack in the middle of her face. Everyone gasped as the girl fell to the floor. Her friends on the court gathered around their unconscious pal. They looked to the girls on the other side of the net. Kal-El mouthed the words, Revenge. They snickered.

"We are going to beat their asses into the ground."

"Through the game. Right?"

"We'll see."

Thea woke up with a throbbing headache and a bloodied nose. She blinked a few times before realizing she was in the infirmary at the Academy. She reached up to her nose. It wasn't broken; probably just bruised.

"Hey Thea," she turned to her left, right as her parents and friends were coming in.

She smiled, "Did we win?"

Nicole and Brook laughed, "Yeah, we won."

"Awesome," she smiled. She turned to her friends and half-whispered, "Those bitches deserve it."

"Language!" Brooklyn yelled.

Thea rolled her eyes.

"You were tough kiddo," Tony grabbed onto his daughter's shoulder. "Good work."

"Thanks," she smiled. "Can I go back to our dorm now?"

"Nope," the nurse walked next to her. "You got a concussion. We need to keep you here a little bit longer to see how bad it is."

"Then I can leave?"

"Maybe."
