Bad Timing - Jiara (JJ Maybank & Kiara Carrera)

Chapter 5

--- And as the days went by, JJ and Kiara's fairytale was due soon, everything was planned perfectly, he was ready for her, and so she was for him. Alas, their love for each other has no limits, yet, with them, timing is never right.

because in the end, life only gives fairytales for the ones who are lucky, and she watched JJ get arrested in front of her eyes, she realized that the revenge of the kooks was the cause of their new profound problems, and right then, where they should be confessing their love for each other, Kie and JJ realized that vengeance is stronger than the power of their love, no matter how strong that was. 

1 week ago..

"i should've just let you fuck yourself" 
"would've been better than loosing it to you" 

7 days till midsummer; JJ and Kie had their huge fight yesterday. Neither have spoken to each other since then, yet their voices were in each others head at all times as a constant reminder of how badly they screwed up, but their urge and need to see each other wasn't enough to get one of them to crack and apologize.

--- (next day)

"is kie gonna be there?" JJ queries curiously while phoning Sarah

"I don't know; I think I heard her say that her dad's making her cover his shift on Wednesdays because she's grounded" She clarifies as JJ nods to himself.

"so you're coming or not?" She asks impatiently with an irritated tone, tired of being in between JJ and kie.

"uh no I can't, Agnes is keeping me in 'therapy lockdown' for a few days" JJ explains.

"right because you punched a wall." Sarah said displeasingly as JJ rolled his eyes with irritation. "Anyways, if you can try to sneak out, we'll wait" She adds tediously. 

"Uh? my wrist is broken, I can't surf" JJ snaps sarcastically. 

"and whose fault is that! But hey at least you can watch us having fun while you sit and mope" She jokes as JJ hears the rest of the pogues chuckling over the phone 

"I'm hanging up now" 

"try to come-" JB managed to shout, getting closer to the speaker of Sarah's phone, before JJ hanged up the line.

"Hey, you coming? I can't handle all of them alone" Sarah jests as she calls kie not long after the conversation with JJ, for her and kie are usually the most rational in the group. 

"I can't, I am covering my dad's shift-" Kie explains truthfully with a whiney voice. 

"yeah I know, but can't you sneak out?" Sarah blunts out the obvious. 

"why so I can get grounded some more?" Kiara chuckles. 

"are you sure you're not just using that as an excuse to not see you-know-who?" She questions curiously. 

"no! I just really have shift!" Kie barks instantly. "And stop calling him that, it's weird." She exasperates.  

"okay as you wish...I can't believe I'm stuck with them alone now" Sarah groans even though her friends are right there, well, except for JJ, who she considered an almost-friend, a person she was just stuck with, but recently came to slightly respect him. 

"better than serving food trust me, I would die to surf right now, especially since summer is coming to an end." Kie says holding the phone between her shoulder and ear as she prepares the trays.
