Bad Timing - Jiara (JJ Maybank & Kiara Carrera)

Chapter 14

They say sadness is behind anger, yet anger never comes unless in direct self defense. That was the quote JJ Maybank lived by. He was angry, he had so much anger repressed in him, and only a few, rare people know why, and it was moments before Kiara Carrera became one of these rare people.

24 hours earlier...

"so i don't get it! you took him to the lunch room of cafeteria or whatever and he just left?" kiara tries to repeat John B's words but they still don't make sense.
"yep." Pope answers for JB, since it was crystal clear that kiara was getting on his nerves
"why didn't you stop him!" the girl shouts as Pope rolls his eyes. They didn't need Kiara's annoying questions right now, especially after the kooks threatening them. They had to live their final moments of peace before everything went to hell, which it was, very soon, and they all knew it.
"we couldn't do it if we tried" JohnB mutters showing no emotion on his face, it seemed as if he couldn't care less about JJ right now.
"why are you so CALM about this! he's not okay! he shouldn't be alone right now!" kiara exclaims, and it was clear that everyone was getting irritated by her worrying over JJ, who knew how to take care of himself.
"Kiara, it's JJ, he's used to being alone...he'll be fine" Pope spits out the truth, which made everyone feel uneasy.
"i am gonna go to sleep, if anything happens, don't wake me up i am not in the mood" JB blunts out as he heads to his room carelessly.
"john b-" sarah tries, but it was obvious he wanted nothing to do with her right now.
"NO... i don't wanna speak to you right now" JohnB shouts before lowering his voice again and regaining his unattractive calmness.

"you know what? you're exactly who i thought you were Sarah Cameron" he scoffs before vanishing into his room.

"...i am with JohnB on this one. You shouldn't have told him that you're going to break up with topper and be with him, then you tell him you changed your mind you can't do that sarah!"  pope comments in irritation as he disappearing into his room too, leaving sarah and kie alone.

"are you gonna leave too?" sarah says as tears filled her eyes, sliding down the wall to eventually sit down on the floor.
"never" kiara scoffs as she scoots down the wall too, sitting by her friend's side.
"i-i just fucked up and now i don't know what to do..." sarah attempts to speak but then the lump in her throat stops her, so kiara assures her that everything is going to be resolved.

"well eventually, when he calms down, JB has to talk to you....he can't avoid you forever" kiara says like it's bluntly obvious, which made sarah recall her kiss with the boy. It was sweet, but it was also a mistake.

"it was- so reckless of me to kiss JB, i never intended to hurt topper- just because i am bored with my relationship with him doesn't mean i can cheat on him! oh god- i didn't mean to hurt him... and now i messed it up with JohnB too because i am fucking stupid-" sarah cries, caring more about toppers feelings rather than JohnB, because honestly, even if Topper was a mess, even with all his flaws, she loved him dearly, and he loved her too, but as everyone says, communication is key, and what they didn't have is exactly that; honesty.

"hey! hey calm down...look everything is going to be fine...you're fix it with both of them...just give it time. alright?" kiara wipes Sarah's tears away, and sarah proceeds to rest her head on Kiara's shoulder, which made her feel warm and safe.

"i don't know what to do. how can i fix this-" she scoffs before kiara cuts her off, only to reassure her that everything is going to be just fine with the pogues.

"You don't have to be with anyone right now...you should just focus on yourself, you know?" Kiara says and Sarah agrees as she nods her head.
"yeah...yeah i should do that. Maybe try to be friends with them, only friends." The girl sniffles confidently.
