"happy birthday" He spoke tenderly, almost as low as possible for the fairy lights were enough to faintly light the room up.

Both their eyes were glued to each other, stopping whole world in its tracks as they together hate on what's kept then apart for forever.

"y-you came" Kiara chocked up through the breath that was caught her in her throat, as if trying to convince herself, even though she posed it as a question rather a truth.

"'course I did" A smile formed as he spoke, gaining the attention of the thick brown shade that was her eyes to his lips, the lips she dreamed of day and night, the lips that never once left her mind since she has last kissed them, before shooting back upwards to the color of azure that filled the irises she got adrift in time and time again. The scars were still slightly visible around his face, yet not as bad as when she has last seen him.

She was just peacefully taking in the sight of him, letting sink in that this was actuality, and not just another hallucination. She would've stood there staring at him like he's 'The Starry Night' painting for eternity, getting lost in the small lights of the houses, which in this case was the reflection of the fairy lights on the light blue that tinted his eyes dexterously, but then he inched forward, pulling the stupefied girl into a light hug, his arms hugging her waistline imperceptibly, not long after her arms shakenly wrapped around his neck, both silently shivering at each other's deliberate touches, for they've been envisaging this realism for so long it didn't feel actual in their minds that took time to comprehend the new veracity.

They both pulled away after some short time of embracing themselves, their eyes reconnecting again as their breaths shift ineptly, unsure of what to speak of next. Still stood as when the lights turned back on, the Pogue re-entered the room with a gratified grin that was ten times as large as the one they had on when they first left.

Kiara pulled her own eyes away from the blond boy forcedly to face the Pogues, who she figured have been planning this from whenever JJ decided to do it, which was only this morning, and the glimmer in their eyes proved they have been up to something all along.

The girl was just too dumbstruck to even speak anymore, continuously gulping to the point where the saliva stopped being produced in her parched mouth. As everyone started moving around her, cheerfully cutting small pieces of cake and placing them in the glass plates Kiara immensely approved off, she froze motionlessly. JJ appeared to have noticed that, for his hand slipped around her waist again, slightly grabbing her closer to him, as she tried to keep her whimpers mental at the touch of his hand on her bare skin her shirt marginally exposed.

A kiss was placed on her temple, which then she realized to be JJ's lips pressed up on her forehead. Her hand also snaked around his waist, relishing the fragrance smudged against his neck. That's when life seemed to have gone back to normal, even in an instant, she looked around to see everything she needed, including JJ. It was more than enough.

JJ was giggling and talking joyfully with Sarah, still in Kie's intimacy, as the blonde girl busily distributed the plates around for everyone. Unaware of the set of eyes admiring her, or perhaps she was, which made the whole experience more enjoyable, Kiara joined in with helping with the plates.

The blond boy was across the room, cheerfully chatting with Pope and Danielle. He was eating the leftovers of the delightful cake, as Kie watched the spoon being raised to his mouth, his lips opening slightly to swallow the cake on it, as Kiara's did the same, not because she craved the cake, but it was something else she wanted badly. It made JJ's every move madly alluring. The evening passed by pretty peacefully, but as the pitch blackness outside gradually turns into light shades of pink and orange, Kiara just mockingly watched everyone drink their soberness away, however, not long before she joined them, attempting to shake her madness away, but the only think vodka did was increase it.
